ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନର ନାମ ଥିଲା ଲୂସ୍ କିନ୍ତୁ ଯାକୁବ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନର ନାମ ଦେଲେ ବୌଥଲେ।

ଯୋଷଫେର ପରିବାରବର୍ଗ ବୈଥଲହମରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ବିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ କଲେ। ଅତୀତ ରେ ବୈଥେଲ୍ର ନାମ ଥିଲା ଲୂସ୍। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୋଷଫେର ପରିବାରବର୍ଗଙ୍କ ପଟ ରେ ଥିଲେ।

ଯାକୁବ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦୂତ ସହିତ ମଲ୍ଲୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରୁଥିଲା ଏବଂ ଜିତୁଥିଲା। ସେ ଚିତ୍କାର କରି ପ୍ରଭୁକୃପା ମାଗୁଥିଲା। ଏହା ବୈଥଲ୍ ରେ ଘଟିଥିଲା। ସହେିସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପାଇଲା ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ କଥା ହେଲା।
