ଅନନ୍ତର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିର୍ବାସ ରେ ଦ୍ବାଦସ ବର୍ଷର ଦଶମ ମାସର ପଞ୍ଚମ ଦିନ ରେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମରୁ ଜଣେ ପଳାତକ ମାେ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି କହିଲା, ନଗର ପରାଜିତ ହାଇେଅଛି।

ଅନନ୍ତର ଦ୍ବାଦଶ ବର୍ଷର ଦ୍ବାଦଶ ମାସର ପ୍ରଥମ ଦିନ ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ଯ ମାେ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା। ସେ କହିଲେ,

ସମାନେେ ଭଲ ପାଉଥିବା ସ୍ଥାନ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେଠାରୁ ନଇୟିବେି, ସହେିଦିନ ସହେି ଦୁଃସମ୍ବାଦ ତୁମ୍ଭର କର୍ଣ୍ଣଗୋଚର କରାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏକ ଉତ୍ତରାଧିକାରୀ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବ।

ଅନନ୍ତର ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ସିଦିକିଯର ରାଜଜ୍ବର ନବମ ବର୍ଷର ଦଶମ ମାସ ରେ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୁଖଦନିତ୍ସର ଓ ତାହାର ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନ୍ଯ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଆସି ତାହା ଅବରୋଧ କଲେ।

ତେଣୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବାବିଲର ରାଜାକୁ ଆଣିଲେ। ୟୁବା ଲୋକମାନେ ମନ୍ଦିର ମଧିଅରେ ଥିଲେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା, ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ସେ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କିଛି ଦୟା କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ଉଭୟ ୟୁବା ଓ ବୃଦ୍ଧ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ସେ ପୁରୁଷ ଓ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ସେ ରୋଗୀ ଓ ସୁସ୍ଥ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ, ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସରଙ୍କୁ ବିଜଯୀ କଲେ।
ଦିତୀୟ ରାଜାବଳୀ 25:4
ସର୍ବଶଷେ ରେ ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସର ସୈନ୍ଯ ନଗରର ପ୍ରାଚୀର ଏକ ସ୍ଥାନ ଭଗ୍ନ କଲେ। ସହେି ରାତ୍ରି ରେ ରାଜା ସିଦିକିଯ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଯୋଦ୍ଧାଗଣ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଉଦ୍ୟାନକୁ ଲାଗି ଦୁଇଟି ପ୍ରାଚୀର ମଧ୍ଯ ଫାଟକ ଦଇେ ପଳାଇଲେ। ଯେତବେେଳେ କଲଦୀଯମାନେ ନଗରର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗ ରେ ବେଢି ରହିଥିଲେ। ପୁଣି ରାଜା ଆରବା ପଥ ଦଇେ ଚାଲିଗଲେ।
ଦିତୀୟ ରାଜାବଳୀ 24:4
କାରଣ ମନଃଶି ବହୁ ନୀରିହ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଶ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯାକରି ସମାନଙ୍କେ ରକ୍ତ ରେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ୍କୁ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କଲା। ତେଣୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସହେି ପାପ ପାଇଁ କ୍ଷମା କରିବେ ନାହିଁ।
