ରେରିତମାନଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟର ବିବରଣ 11

1 ୟିହୂଦା ରେ ପ୍ ରରେିତମାନେ ଓ ଭାଇମାନେ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ପାଇଲେ ଯେ, ଅଣଯିହୂଦୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ମଧ୍ଯ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସୁସମାଚ଼ାର ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି।

2 ତେଣୁ ପିତର ୟିରୂଶାଲମ ରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବା ପରେ ସୁନ୍ନତ ହାଇେଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସମାଲୋଚ଼ନା କଲେ।

3 ସମାନେେ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସୁନ୍ନତ ନ ହାଇେଥିବା ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଘରକୁ ଯାଇଛ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ସହିତ ଭୋଜନ ମଧ୍ଯ କରିଛ।

4 ତେଣୁ ପିତର ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ସମସ୍ତ ଘଟଣାମାନ ବୁଝାଇ କହିଲେ,

5 ମୁଁ ଯାଫୋ ନଗର ରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲା ବେଳେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଦିବ୍ଯଦର୍ଶନ ଦେଖିଲି। ଗୋଟିଏ ଚାଦର ଚ଼ାରିକଣରୁ ଧରାଯାଇ ସ୍ବର୍ଗରୁ ମାେ ଆଡ଼କୁ ଖସିଆସୁଥିବାର ମୁଁ ଦେଖିଲି।

6 ମୁଁ ମନୋୟୋଗ ସହିତ ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କରି ଦେଖିଲି ଯେ, ସେଥି ରେ ଚ଼ାରିପାଦ ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ପଶୁ, ଜଙ୍ଗଲୀ ଜନ୍ତୁ, ସରୀସୃପ, ଓ ଆକାଶର ପକ୍ଷୀସବୁ ଅଛନ୍ତି।

7 ତା'ପରେ ମୁଁ ଗୋଟିଏ ସ୍ବର ଶୁଣିଲି, 'ପିତର ଉଠ। ଏମାନଙ୍କ ଭିତରୁ କୌଣସିଟିକୁ ମାରି ଖାଅ।'

8 କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ କହିଲି, 'ପ୍ରଭୁ, ମୁଁ ଏହା କଦାପି କରିବି ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ମୁଁ କବେେ ଅପବିତ୍ର ଓ ଅପରିଷ୍କାର ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଖାଇନାହିଁ।'

9 ଏହି ସ୍ବର ମୁଁ ସ୍ବର୍ଗରୁ ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ଥର ପୁଣି ଶୁଣିଲି, 'ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଯାହା ସବୁ ପବିତ୍ର କରିଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅପବିତ୍ର ବୋଲି କହିବା ଉଚିତ ନୁହେଁ।'

10 ଏହିପରି ତିନିଥର ହବୋପରେ, ଏହା ସବୁ ସ୍ବର୍ଗକୁ ଉଠାଇ ନିଆଗଲା।

11 ଠିକ୍ ସହେି ସମୟରେ ତିନିଜଣ ମଣିଷ ଆମ୍ଭେ ରହୁଥିବା ଘରକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କାଇସରୀଆରୁ ମାେ ପାଖକୁ ପଠାଯାଇଥିଲା।

12 ମାେତେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ସହିତ ବିନା ସଙ୍କୋଚ଼ ରେ ୟିବାପାଇଁ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେଲେ। ମାେ ସାଙ୍ଗ ରେ ଏଠା ରେ ଥିବା ଏହି ଛଅଜଣ ବିଶ୍ବାସୀ ଭାଇ ମଧ୍ଯ ଆସିଥିଲେ। ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣୀଲିୟଙ୍କ ଘରକୁ ଗଲୁ।

13 କର୍ଣ୍ଣୀଲିୟ କିପରି ତାହାଙ୍କ ଘ ରେ ଜଣେ ସ୍ବର୍ଗଦୂତଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲେ, ସହେିସବୁ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ କହିଲେ। ଏହି ଦୂତ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, 'ଯାଫୋ ନଗରକୁ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇ ପିତର ନାମ ରେ ପରିଚ଼ିତ ଶିମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଆଣ।

14 ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଘ ରେ ରହୁଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାକ୍ଯ କହିବେ, ଯାହା ଦ୍ବାରା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇବ।'

15 ମୁଁ କହିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲା ମାତ୍ ରେ, ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଉପରେ ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ଆସିଲେ, ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରଥମ ରେ ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ଆସିଥିଲେ।

16 ସେତବେେଳେ ମାରେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର କଥା ମନେ ପଡ଼ିଲା। ସେ କହିଥିଲେ, 'ଯୋହନ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଳ ରେ ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମ କରାଇଥିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ରେ ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହବେ।'

17 ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠା ରେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରିବାରୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେପରି ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ଦାନ ଦଇେଥିଲେ, ସହିପରି ଯଦି ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ସହେି ସମାନ ଦାନ ଦେଲେ, ତବେେ ମୁଁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମାର୍ଗ ରେ ବାଧା ଦବୋ ପାଇଁ କିଏ?

18 ଯିହୂଦୀୟ ବିଶ୍ବାସୀମାନେ ଏକଥା ଶୁଣି ଆଉ ୟୁକ୍ତିତର୍କ କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଶଂସା କଲେ, ପୁଣି କହିଲେ, ଏହାର ଅର୍ଥ ଯେ, ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭପରି ଅନ୍ୟ ଜାତିର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ଅନୁତାପ କରି ପ୍ରକୃତ ଜୀବନର ଅଧିକାରୀ ହବୋ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସୁ ଯୋଗ ଦଇେଛନ୍ତି।

19 ସ୍ତିଫାନ ମୃତ ହବୋପରେ ଯେଉଁ ତାଡ଼ନା ଘଟିଲା, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ବିଶ୍ବାସୀମାନେ ଚ଼ାରିଆଡ଼େ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ହାଇଗେଲେ। ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ କେତଜେଣ ଫୈନୀକିଆ, କୁପ୍ର ଓ ଆନ୍ତିୟଖିଆକୁ ଗଲେ। ସଠାେରେ ସମାନେେ ୟିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ବ୍ଯତୀତ ଅନ୍ୟ କାହାରି ନିକଟରେ ସୁସମାଚ଼ାର ପ୍ରଚ଼ାର କଲେ ନାହିଁ।

20 ଏହି ବିଶ୍ବାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ କେତଜେଣ କୁପ୍ର ଓ କୁରୀଣୀର ଲୋକ ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଆନ୍ତିୟଖିଆକୁ ଆସି ଗ୍ରୀକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କର ସୁସମାଚ଼ାର ଦେଲେ।

21 ପ୍ରଭୁ ସହେି ବିଶ୍ବାସୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରୁଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଅନକେ ଲୋକ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କଲେ ଓ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗମନ କଲେ।

22 ଆନ୍ତିୟଖିଆର ଏହି ନୂଆ ବିଶ୍ବାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟ ରେ ୟିରୂଶାଲମର ବିଶ୍ବାସୀ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ପାଇଲେ। ତେଣୁ ସମାନେେ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବାଙ୍କୁ ଆନ୍ତିୟଖିଆକୁ ପଠାଇ ଦେଲେ।

23 ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବା ସଠାେରେ ପହଞ୍ଚି ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଦଇେଥିବା ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ଦେଖି ବହୁତ ଖୁସି ହେଲେ। ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଆହୁରି ଉତ୍ସାହିତ କଲେ। ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ବାସ କଦାପି ହରାଅ ନାହିଁ, ସର୍ବାନ୍ତଃକରଣ ରେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାଧ୍ଯ ହୁଅ।

24 ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବା ଜଣେ ଉତ୍ତମ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଥିଲେ। ସେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ଓ ବିଶ୍ବାସ ରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଅନକେ ଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଲାଗି ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ଶିଷ୍ଯ ହେଲେ।

25 ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବା ଶାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ଖାଜେିବା ପାଇଁ ତାର୍ଷ ନଗରକୁ ଯାତ୍ରା କଲେ।

26 ଯେତବେେଳେ ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପାଇଲେ, ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଆନ୍ତିୟଖିଆକୁ ନଇେ ଆସିଲେ। ଶାଉଲ ଓ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବା ସଠାେରେ ବର୍ଷେ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ରହିଲେ ଓ ଯେତେଥର ବିଶ୍ବାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ଦଳ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କଲେ ଓ ବହୁତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଉପଦେଶ ଦେଲେ। ଆନ୍ତିୟଖିଆ ରେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗମନକାରୀମାନେ ପ୍ରଥମ ରେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟିଆନ ନାମ ରେ ନାମିତ ହେଲେ।

27 ସେତବେେଳେ କେତକେ ଭାବବାଦୀ ୟିରୂଶାଲମରୁ ଆନ୍ତିୟଖିଆକୁ ଆସିଲେ।

28 ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧିଅରେ ଆଗାବା ନାମକ ଜଣେ ଭାବବାଦୀ ଥିଲେ। ସେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହାଇେ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବାଣୀ କହିଲେ, ଏ ସମଗ୍ର ପୃଥିବୀ ରେ ମହାଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ପଡ଼ିବ, ସହେି ସମୟରେ ଲୋକମାନେ କିଛି ଖାଇବାକୁ ପାଇବେ ନାହିଁ। ଏହି ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ କ୍ଲାଉଦିଅ କାଇସରଙ୍କ ସମୟରେ ପଡିଥିଲେ।

29 ସେଥିପାଇଁ ବିଶ୍ବାସୀମାନେ ସ୍ଥିର କଲେ ଯେ, ସମାନେେ ଯଥାଶକ୍ତି ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ପାଠାଇବେ। ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ବିଶ୍ବାସୀ ନିଜର ସାଧ୍ଯମତେ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ଦବୋପାଇଁ ଯୋଜନା କଲେ।

30 ସମାନେେ ସବୁ ପଇସା ଏକାଠି କରି ଶାଉଲ ଓ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲେ। ଶାଉଲ ଓ ପର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବା ତାହା ଆଣି ୟିହୂଦାର ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ହାତ ରେ ଅର୍ପଣ କଲେ।

1 And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

2 And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,

3 Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

4 But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,

5 I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

6 Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

7 And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.

8 But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.

9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

10 And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.

11 And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.

12 And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house:

13 And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

20 And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

22 Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

24 For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:

30 Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
