Hebrews 11:2
ପ୍ରାଚୀନ କାଳ ରେ, ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଏହି ଭଳି ବିଶ୍ବାସ ଥିଲା ବୋଲି, ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରସନ୍ନ ଥିଲେ।

କଯିନ ଓ ହବେଲ ଦୁ ହେଁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ବଳି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ବିଶ୍ବାସ ଥିବା ହତେୁ ହବେଲ ଭଲ ବଳି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର କହିଲେ, ଯେ, ସେ ହବେଲ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିଥିବା ବଳି ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରସନ୍ନ ଥିଲେ। ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠା ରେ ହବେଲର ବିଶ୍ବାସ ହତେୁ ତାହାକୁ ଭଲ ଲୋକ ବୋଲି କହିଲେ। ହବେଲ ମରି ଯାଇଛି କିନ୍ତୁ ନିଜ ବିଶ୍ବାସ ହତେୁ ଏବେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ସେ କଥା କହୁଛି।

ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନେ ନିଜର ବିଶ୍ବାସ ପାଇଁ ଜଣା ଶୁଣା। କିନ୍ତୁ ଏମାନଙ୍କ ଭିତରୁ କହେି ହେଲ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମହାନ୍ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା ପାଇପାରି ନ ଥିଲେ।
