ଦାଉଦ ମଧ୍ଯ ମାୟୋବକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ। ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଭୂମିରେ ପଡି ରହିବା ପାଇଁ ବାଧ୍ଯ କଲେ, ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଏକ ଦଉଡି ଦ୍ବାରା ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଇ ଦଳ ରେ ବିଭକ୍ତ କଲେ। ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଇ ଧାଡିରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପୁରୁଷ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରାଗଲା, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୃତୀୟ ଧାଡିଟିକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଜୀବନ୍ତ ଛାଡି ଦିଆଗଲା। ତା'ପରେ ମାୟୋବୀଯମାନେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ସବେକ ହେଲ ଓ ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ କର ଦେଲେ।

ତାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା ଶଲ୍ମନଷେର ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବାକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ସେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରି ନିଜର ଅଧିନସ୍ଥ କଲେ। ତେଣୁ ହାେେଶୟ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ କରିବାକୁ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତିଗତ ଭାବରେ ଦାନ ଦେଲେ।

ମାୟୋବର ରାଜା ମାଶାେ ମଷୋଧିକାରୀ ଥିଲେ। ସେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ କରରୂପେ 1,00,000 ମଷେବତ୍ସର ଓ 1,00,000 ମଷେର ଲୋମ ପ୍ରତିବର୍ଷ ଦେଉଥିଲେ।
