ଯେତବେେଳେ ଅବଶା ଲୋମ ବଳିଦାନ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ, ସେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଗୀଲୋନୀଯ ଅହୀଥୋଫଲକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତାହାର ନଗର ଗୀଲୋରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଡକାଇଲେ। ତହିଁରେ ଚକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଢ ହେଲା, କାରଣ ଅବଶାଲୋମର ସପକ୍ଷର ଲୋକମାନେ ବହକ୍ସ୍ଟତ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇଲେ।

ଅେମ୍ମାନୀୟମାନେ ହୃଦଯଙ୍ଗମ କଲେ ଯେ, ରାଜା ଦାଉଦ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ତାଙ୍କର ଶତୃ ବୋଲି ବିବଚେନା କଲେ। ତେଣୁ ସମାନେେ 20 ,000 ଅରାମୀଯ ୈସନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ବୈଥ-ରହାବେ ଓ ସୋବାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ 1,000 ଜଣ ମାଖାର ରାଜାଙ୍କଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଏବଂ ଟୋବରକ୍ସ୍ଟ 12,000 ସୈନ୍ଯ ଭଡା ରେ ଆଣିଲେ।

ସହେିଦିନ ଅେମ୍ମାନୀୟମାନେ ବାହାରି ଆସିଲେ ଏବଂ ନଗରର ଫାଟକ ନିକଟରେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତକ୍ସ୍ଟତ ହାଇେ ରହିଲେ। ସୋବା ଓ ରହୋବର ଅରାମୀଯ ଲୋକମାନେ, ଟୋବର ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ଏବଂ ମାଖା ନଗର ବାହାର କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ରେ ଏକତ୍ରୀତ ହେଲ।

ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ, ଅବଶା ଲୋମଙ୍କର ଚକ୍ରାନ୍ତକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଅହୀଥୋଫଲ ଅଛି। ତା'ପରେ ଦାଉଦ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ, ହେ ମାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ଦୟାକରି ଅହୀଥୋଫଲର ଉପଦେଶକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଅଦରକାରୀ କର।

ଏହାପରେ ଅହୀଥୋଫଲ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଦେଖିଲେ ଏହା ତାଙ୍କ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଅନକ୍ସ୍ଟସା ରେ ଗଲାନାହିଁ, ସେ ତାଙ୍କ ଗଧ ଉପରେ ଚଢି ତାଙ୍କର ନିଜ ନଗରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଫରେିଲେ ଏବଂ ସେ ତାଙ୍କ ବଂଶ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ଦଲିଲ୍ ଲେଖିଲେ ଏବଂ ନିଜେ ଫାଶି ହାଇେ ଗଲେ। ଏହିପରି ଭାବରେ ସେ ମଲା ଓ ନିଜର ପିତାର କବର ରେ କବର ପାଇଲା।

ଅହୀଥୋଫଲ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ପରାମର୍ଶଦାତା ଥିଲେ। ହୁଶଯ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ବନ୍ଧୁ ଥିଲେ। ହୁଶଯ ଅର୍କୀଯ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ଆସିଥିଲେ।
