ଆହସ୍ ପାପ କଲେ, ତେଣୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଅରାମର ରାଜାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ଆହସ୍ଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ। ଅରାମର ରାଜା ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ଆହସ୍ଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ ଓ ଯିହୁଦାର ଅନକେ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରି ନେଲେ। ଅରାମର ରାଜା ସହେି ବନ୍ଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦମ୍ମେଶକ ନଗରକୁ ନଇଗେଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ରାଜା ପକହଙ୍କେ ଦ୍ବାରା ମଧ୍ଯ ଆହସ୍ଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ।

ତେଣୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସୈନ୍ଯବାହିନୀର ସନୋପତିଙ୍କୁ ଆଣିଲେ, ୟିଏକି ଅଶୂରର ରାଜାର ସବୋ କରୁଥିଲେ ଏବଂ ସମାନେେ ଯିହୁଦାକୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କଲେ। ସହେି ସନୋପତିମାନେ ମନଃଶିଙ୍କୁ ଧରିଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରି ନେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କ ଶରୀର ରେ ଆଙ୍କୁଡ଼ି ଲଗାଇଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ହାତ ରେ ପିତ୍ତଳର ଜଞ୍ଜିର ପିନ୍ଧାଇଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କୁ ବାବିଲ ଦେଶକୁ ନଇଗେଲେ।

ଯିହାୟୋକୀମ୍ ଯିହୁଦାର ନୂତନ ରାଜା ହବୋ ସମୟରେ ପଚିଶ ବର୍ଷ ବଯସ୍କ ହାଇେଥିଲେ। ସେ ଏଗାର ବର୍ଷ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ରାଜା ଥିଲେ। ଯିହାୟୋଦାରକୀମ୍ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛାନୁୟାଯୀ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।

ଦିତୀୟ ବଂଶାବଳୀ 36:17
ତେଣୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବାବିଲର ରାଜାକୁ ଆଣିଲେ। ୟୁବା ଲୋକମାନେ ମନ୍ଦିର ମଧିଅରେ ଥିଲେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା, ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ସେ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କିଛି ଦୟା କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ଉଭୟ ୟୁବା ଓ ବୃଦ୍ଧ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ସେ ପୁରୁଷ ଓ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ। ସେ ରୋଗୀ ଓ ସୁସ୍ଥ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ, ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସରଙ୍କୁ ବିଜଯୀ କଲେ।

ଆମ୍ଲଭମାଲନ ୟାଇ ଯିହୁଦା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧସର ଲଢ଼ିବା। ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଯିହୁଦାକୁ ଭାଗ ଭାଗ କରିବା। ଆମ୍ଲଭମାଲନ ଟାବଲଲର ପୁତ୍ରକୁ ଯିହୁଦାର ନୂଆ ରାଜାରୂଲପ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବା।
