ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଶଲୋମନକୁ କହିଲେ, ଯେ ହତେୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭର ନିଯମ ଓ ବିଧି ଭଙ୍ଗ କଲ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ଆଜ୍ଞାକୁ ପାଳନ କଲ ନାହିଁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ରାଜ୍ଯ ଛଡଇେ ନଇେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦାସକୁ ଦବେୁ।

ରାଜା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଅନୁରୋଧ ପୁରଣ କରିବାକୁ ମନା କରି ଦେଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହିସବୁ ଘଟାଇବାର କାରଣ ହେଲ, ସେ ଚାହିଁଲେ ତାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା ପୂରଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ। ନବାଟର ପୁତ୍ର ୟାରବିଯାମ୍ ଯାହା ଅହିଯ ଶୀଲୋନୀଯଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା କୁହା ହାଇେଥିଲା।

ତତ୍ପରେ ଅହିଯ ୟାରବିଯାମଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିଜ ପାଇଁ ଦଶଖଣ୍ତ ନିଅ, କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଏହିକଥା କହନ୍ତି, 'ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଶଲୋମନର ହସ୍ତରୁ ରାଜ୍ଯ ଚିରିଦବୋ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦଶ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ଦବୋ।

ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଜାଣିବାକୁ ପାଇଲେ ଯେ ୟାରବିଯାମ ଫରେି ଆସିଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଡକାଇଲେ ଓ ସମୁଦାଯ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଉପରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ରାଜା କଲେ। କବଳେ ଯିହୁଦା ପରିବାରବର୍ଗ ଗୋଟିଏ ପରିବାର ଦାଉଦ ପରିବାରର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହେଲ।
ଯିଶାଇୟ 29:13
ମାରେ ପ୍ରଭୁ କୁହନ୍ତି, ସମାନଙ୍କେର ମୁଖ ସହିତ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନେ ମାେ ପାଖକୁ ଆସନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ନିଜର ଓଷ୍ଠାଧାର ରେ ମାରେ ସମ୍ମାନ କରନ୍ତି। ମାତ୍ର ପ୍ରକୃ ରେ ସମାନେେ ମାଠାରୁେ ବହୁତ ଦୂ ରଇେ ରହନ୍ତି। ମାେ ପ୍ରତି ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଭୟ ଓ ପ୍ ରମେ ଅନ୍ୟ କିଛି ନୁହେଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ କବଳେ ମାନବିକ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଓ େ ବେଳବେଳେ ଉପଦେଶ।

ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଦାଉଦ ବଂଶରୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲକୁ ଛିନ୍ନ କଲେ। ଆଉ ସମାନେେ ନବାଟର ପୁତ୍ର ୟାରବିଯାମଙ୍କୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ରାଜା କଲେ। ୟାରବିଯାମ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହବୋରୁ ନିବୃତ୍ତ କଲେ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ମହାପାପ କରାଇଲେ।

ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଆଦେଶକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଅବଜ୍ଞା କଲ? ସେ ଯାହା ଭୂଲ୍ ବୋଲି କହନ୍ତି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା କାହିଁକି କଲ? ତୁମ୍ଭେ ହିତ୍ତୀଯ ଊରିଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମାରି ତା' ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ କରିଅଛ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅେମ୍ମାନୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ଖଣ୍ତାଦ୍ବାରା ଊରିଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମାରି ଅଛ।

କିନ୍ତୁ ଶାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଯଲେ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ, ମୁ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଫରେି ୟିବି ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଅବମାନନା କରିଅଛ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ରାଜା ପାଇଁ ମନା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।

ଶାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଯଲେ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିର୍ବୋଧ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରିଛ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶଓରଙ୍କୁ ମାନିଲ ନାହିଁ। ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଆଦେଶ ମାନି କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରିଥାନ୍ତ ତବେେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ବଂଶକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ପାଇଁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଶାସନଭାର ସଐାଦନ କରିବାକୁ ଦଇେଥାନ୍ତେ।

ଏଣୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପରମେଶ୍ବର କହନ୍ତି, ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ଗୃହରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଓ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତୃଗୃହରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଚିରଦିନ ପାଇଁ ମାରେ ଯାଜକ ହବେ ବୋଲି ମୁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କଲି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଏବେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, 'ତାହା ଆଉ କବେେ ଘଟିବ ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ମାେତେ ସମ୍ମାନ କରନ୍ତି, ମୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ସମ୍ମାନ କରିବି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ମାେତେ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟଚ୍ଛଜ୍ଞାନ କରନ୍ତି, ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଅସମ୍ମାନ କରାୟିବ।

ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ବିଷଯ ରେ ଶପଥ କରିଅଛୁ, ଏମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ କହେି ସେ ଦେଶ ଦେଖିପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ସମାନେେ ମତେ ଅବଜ୍ଞା କରିଛନ୍ତି, ତେଣୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ କହେି ତାହା ଦେଖିବେ ନାହିଁ।
