1 Kings 10:26
ଏହିପରି ରାଜା ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କର ବହୁତଗୁଡିଏ ରଥ ଓ ଅଶ୍ବାରୋହୀ ହାଇଗେଲେ। ତାଙ୍କର 1,400 ରଥ ଓ 12,000 ଅଶ୍ବାରୋହୀ ଥିଲେ। ସେ ତାଙ୍କର ରଥଗୁଡିକ ପାଇଁ ସ୍ବତନ୍ତ୍ର ନଗର ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ ଓ ସେ କିଛି ରଥ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ନଗର ରେ ରଖିଲେ।

କିନ୍ତୁ ସହେି ରାଜା ନିଜ ପାଇଁ ଅନକେ ଅଶ୍ବ ରଖିବ ନାହିଁ। କିଅବା ଅନକେ ଅଶ୍ବ ରଖିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିଶରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଠାଇବ ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଛନ୍ତି, 'ଏହି ସମୟଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆଉ ଏ ପଥରେ ଫରେିବ ନାହିଁ।'

ରାଜା ଶ ଲୋମନ ଶସ୍ଯ ଓ ଜିନିଷ ଗଚ୍ଛିତ ରଖିବା ପାଇଁ ଭଣ୍ତାର ନଗର, ରଥପାଇଁ ନଗର ଓ ଅଶ୍ବାରୋହୀମାନଙ୍କର ସୁରକ୍ଷା ନିମନ୍ତେ ନଗର ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ, ଲିବାନୋନ ରେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ଶାସନାଧିନ ଦେଶ ବ୍ଯତୀତ ସେ ଯାହା ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲେ, ତାହା ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ।

ତାଙ୍କର ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଶଲୋମନ ଘାଡ଼ୋସବୁ ଓ ରଥସବୁ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ। ଶଲୋମନ 1,400 ଟି ରଥ ଓ 12,000 ଅଶ୍ବ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କଲେ। ଶଲୋମନ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ରଥର ସହର ରେ ରଖିଲେ। ଆଉ କେତକଙ୍କେୁ ଶଲୋମନ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ରଖିଲେ।

ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଦେଶ ସୁନା ଓ ରୂପା ରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ। ସଠାେ ରେ ଧନରତ୍ନର ସୀମା ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଦେଶ ମଧ୍ଯ ଅଶ୍ବ ରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଓ ସଠାେ ରେ ରଥର ସୀମା ନାହିଁ।
