ମାଶାେ ଓ ଇଲିଯାସର ଯାଜକ ଯିରିହାରେ ନିକଟସ୍ଥିତ ୟର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ସମୀପର ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମାଯାେବ ପଦା ରେ ଏହା କହିଲେ।

ସିୟୋନ ଦେଶ ରେ ଇ ମାରେୀଯମାନଙ୍କର ରାଜା ୟିଏକି ୟର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ନଦୀର ବିପରିତ ପାଶର୍ବ ରେ ଥିବା ବୈତପିୟୋର ସମ୍ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଖ ରେ ହିଷ୍ବୋନ୍ ଇପତ୍ଯକା ରେ ଶାସନ କରୁଥିଲେ। କାରଣ ମିଶରରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବାହାରି ଆସିବା ବେଳେ ମାଶାେ ଓ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ।
Deuteronomy 34:1
ମାଶାେ ନବୋ ପର୍ବତ ଉପରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଚଢି଼ଲେ। ମାଯାେବର ପାଦ ଦେଶରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପିସଗା ପର୍ବତର ଶିର୍ଷ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଆରୋହଣ କଲେ, ଯାହା ୟିରିହୋ ସମ୍ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଖ ରେ ଥିଲା। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାଶାଙ୍କେକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗିଲିଯଦରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦାନ୍ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସମସ୍ତ ଦେଶ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଦଖାଇେଲେ।

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାୟୋବ ଦେଶ ରେ ବୈତ୍ପିଯୋର ସମ୍ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଖସ୍ଥ ଉପତ୍ୟକା ରେ ତାହାଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ କରବ ଦେଲେ। ମାତ୍ର ତାଙ୍କର କବର ସ୍ଥାନ ଆଜି ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ କହେି ଜାଣି ନାହାଁନ୍ତି।

ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନେ ମାଶାଙ୍କେ ପାଇଁ ତିରିଶ ଦିନ ଧରି କାନ୍ଦିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଃଖଦ ଦିନସବୁ ମାଯାେବର ସମତଳ ଭୂମିରେ କଟାଇଲେ।
