ନିଜ ଦୁଃଖ ଓ ଦୁର୍ଗତିର ସମୟରେ , ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ଆପଣା ପୂର୍ବକାଳର ରମଣୀଯ ଦିନସବୁ ସ୍ମରଣ କରୁଅଛି; ଯେତବେେଳେ ତା'ର ଲୋକମାନେ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା କବଳିତ ହେଲେ, କହେି ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବାକୁ ଆସିଲେ ନାହିଁ, ସେତବେେଳେ ତା'ର ଶତ୍ରୁଗଣ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଧ୍ବଂସାବସ୍ଥା ଦେଖି ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଉପହାସ କଲେ।

ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଚକ୍ଷୁ କ୍ଷୀଣ ହେଲା। ମାତ୍ର କୌଣସି ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ମିଳିଲା ନାହିଁ। ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଦ୍ବାରା ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇବାକୁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କଲୁ, ମାତ୍ର କୌଣସି ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବାକୁ ଆସିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
