ପ୍ରଥମ ମାସର ଦଶମ ଦିନ ରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ୟର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ନଦୀ ପାର ହାଇେ ଯିରୀହାରେ ପୂର୍ବ ସିମାସ୍ଥିତ ଗିଲଗାଲ୍ଠା ରେ ଛାଉଣୀ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ।

ମାତ୍ର ବୈଥଲକୁ ଖାଜେ ନାହିଁ। ଗିଲ୍ଗଲକୁ ୟାଅ ନାହିଁ। ସୀମା ଅତିକ୍ରମ କରି ବେର୍ଶବୋକୁ ୟାଅ ନାହିଁ। ଗିଲ୍ଗଲ୍ର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀରୂପେ ନିଆୟିବ ଏବଂ ବୈଥଲ ଧ୍ବଂସ ହବେ।
Amos 4:4
ବୈଥଲକେୁ ୟାଅ ଏବଂ ସଠାେ ରେ ପାପ କର। ଗିଲ୍ଗଲକୁ ୟାଅ ସଠାେ ରେ ଅଧିକ ପାପ କର। ପ୍ରଭାତ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବଳିଦାନ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କର। ତିନି ଦିନ ରେ ଥରେ ଏକ ଦଶମାଂଶ ଶସ୍ଯ ଆଣ।

ଗିବିଯୋନୀଯମାନେ ଗିଲ୍ଗଲ ଛାଉଣୀଠା ରେ ଯିହାଶୂେୟଙ୍କ ନିକଟକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଏକ ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ପଠାଇଲେ। ସେ ବାର୍ତ୍ତାବାହକ କହିଲା, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସ, ଆମ୍ଭକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଏକକ୍ସ୍ଟଟିଆ ଛାଡ ନାହିଁ। ଆସ ଏବଂ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ଷା କର। ଶିଘ୍ର ଆସି ଆମ୍ଭକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରି ଆମ୍ଭର ଜୀବନ ରକ୍ଷା କର। ଆଉ ସମସ୍ତ ଇ ମାରେୀଯ ଦେଶର ପର୍ବତ ନିବାସୀ ରାଜାମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ସୈନ୍ଯବାହୀନି ସହିତ ଏକତ୍ରୀତ ହାଇେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରୁଛନ୍ତି।
