Joshua 20:4
ଏହି କଥା ଜଣେ ପଳାଯନକାରୀ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ କରିବ। ନିଜ ସହରରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଳାଯନ କରୁଥିବା ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ନଗରର ପ୍ରବେଶ ଫାଟକ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଦୌଡି ସଠାେରେ ବନ୍ଦ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍। ତା ପ୍ରତି କଣ ଘଟିଲା ସେ ନିହାତି ମୂଖ୍ଯ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବ। ତା'ପରେ ମୂଖ୍ଯମାନେ ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନଗର ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବାକୁ ଅନକ୍ସ୍ଟମତି ଦବେେ। ସମାନେେ ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧିଅରେ ବାସ କରିବାକୁ ସ୍ଥାନ ଦଇପୋରନ୍ତି।

| of the gate | שַׁ֣עַר | šaʿar | SHA-ar |
| of the city, | הָעִ֔יר | hāʿîr | ha-EER |
| declare shall and | וְדִבֶּ֛ר | wĕdibber | veh-dee-BER |
| בְּאָזְנֵ֛י | bĕʾoznê | beh-oze-NAY | |
| his cause | זִקְנֵ֥י | ziqnê | zeek-NAY |
| ears the in | הָעִֽיר | hāʿîr | ha-EER |
| of the elders | הַהִ֖יא | hahîʾ | ha-HEE |
| of that | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| city, | דְּבָרָ֑יו | dĕbārāyw | deh-va-RAV |
| take shall they | וְאָֽסְפ֨וּ | wĕʾāsĕpû | veh-ah-seh-FOO |
| him into the city | אֹת֤וֹ | ʾōtô | oh-TOH |
| give and them, unto | הָעִ֙ירָה֙ | hāʿîrāh | ha-EE-RA |
| אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם | ʾălêhem | uh-lay-HEM | |
| him a place, | וְנָֽתְנוּ | wĕnātĕnû | veh-NA-teh-noo |
| dwell may he that | ל֥וֹ | lô | loh |
| among | מָק֖וֹם | māqôm | ma-KOME |
| them. | וְיָשַׁ֥ב | wĕyāšab | veh-ya-SHAHV |
