John 16
1 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଏହିସବୁ କଥା କହିଛି, ଯେପରି ଲୋକମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ବାସ ନଷ୍ଟ କରି ନପାରନ୍ତି।
2 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଲୋକମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ସମାଜଗୃହଗୁଡିକରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଦବେେ। ହଁ, ଏପରି ସମୟ ଆସୁଛି ଯେତବେେଳେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଭାବିବେ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବଧ କରିବା ଦ୍ବାରା ସମାନେେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସବୋ କରୁଛନ୍ତି।
3 କାରଣ ସମାନେେ ପରମପିତାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣି ନାହାଁନ୍ତି ଓ ସମାନେେ ମାେତେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଜାଣି ନାହାଁନ୍ତି।
4 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଏସବୁ କଥା ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ କହିଛି, ତେଣୁ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଏସବୁ ଘଟିବାର ସମୟ ଆସିବ, ସେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମନେ ପକାଇବ ଯେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତର୍କ କରିଥିଲି।
5 ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ମୁଁ ମାରେ ପ୍ ରରଣକେର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଯାଉଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ମାେତେ କହେି ପଚାରୁନାହଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେଉଁଆଡେ ଯାଉଛ?
6 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟ ଦୁଃଖ ରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କାରଣ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଏସବୁ କହିଲି।
7 କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ଯ କହୁଛି ଯେ ମାରେ ଚାଲିୟିବା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ମଙ୍ଗଳଜନକ ଅଟେ। କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଚାଲିଗଲା ପରେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭପାଖକୁ ସହେି ସାହାୟ୍ଯକାରୀଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇବି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ମୁଁ ନ ଯାଏ, ତବେେ ସାହାୟ୍ଯକାରୀ ଆସିବେ ନାହିଁ।
8 ସେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଆସିବେ, ସେତବେେଳେ ସେ ଜଗତର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି କଥାଗୁଡିକର ସତ୍ଯତା, ପାପ, ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠା ରେ ଧାର୍ମିକତା ବିଚାର ଇତ୍ଯାଦି ବିଷୟ ରେ ପ୍ରମାଣ ଦବେେ।
9 ସହେି ସାହାୟ୍ଯକାରୀ ପ୍ରମାଣ ଦବେେ ଯେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କଠା ରେ ପାପ ରହିଛି, କାରଣ ସମାନେେ ମାଠାେ ରେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
10 ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମାରେ ସୁସଂପର୍କ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧ ରେ ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ପ୍ରମାଣ ଦବେେ, କାରଣ ମୁଁ ପରମପିତାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଯାଉଛି। ତା'ପରେ ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ।
11 ସହେି ସାହାୟ୍ଯକାରୀ ବିଚାରର ସତ୍ଯତା ବିଷୟ ରେ ଜଗତକୁ ପ୍ରମାଣ ଦବେେ, କାରଣ ଏହି ଜଗତର ଶାସକର ବିଚାର ହାଇେ ସାରିଲଣେି।
12 ମାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବା ପାଇଁ ବହୁତ କଥା ଅଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ େସତେ ମାତ୍ରା ରେ ସଗେୁଡିକ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।
13 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେତବେେଳେ ସତ୍ଯମୟ ଆତ୍ମା ଆସିବେ, ସେତବେେଳେ ସେ ତୁମକୁ ସମସ୍ତ ସତ୍ଯ ପଥରେ କଢାଇନବେେ। ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିଜର କଥା କହିବେ ନାହିଁ। ସେ କବଳେ ଯାହା ଶୁଣିବେ, ତାହା କହିବେ। ସେ ତୁମକୁ ଭବିଷ୍ଯତର ଘଟଣା ବିଷୟ ରେ କହିବେ।
14 ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ମାେ ପାଇଁ ଗୌରବ ଆଣିବେ। ସେ ମାଠାରୁେ ସମସ୍ତ ସତ୍ଯ ବିଷୟ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ତୁମକୁ କହିବେ।
15 ଯାହା ପରମପିତାଙ୍କର ତାହା ସବୁ କିଛି ମାରେ। ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମୁଁ କହିଲି, ପବିତ୍ରଆତ୍ମା ମାଠାରୁେ ସବୁ ନଇେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହିବେ।
16 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ପରେ ଆଉ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ। ତା'ପରେ ଆଉ ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ଉତ୍ତା ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେତେ ପୁଣି ଦେଖିବ।
17 କେତଜେଣ ଶିଷ୍ଯ ପରସ୍ପରକୁ କହିଲେ, ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ଏପରି କହିବା ଅର୍ଥ କ'ଣ, 'ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ଦେଖି ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ। ପୁଣି ଆଉ ଅଳ୍ପକ୍ଷଣ ଉତ୍ତା ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ଦେଖିପାରିବ। ପିତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ୟିବାର ଅର୍ଥ କ'ଣ? ତାହାଙ୍କ କଥାର ଅର୍ଥ ତ ଆମ୍ଭେ କିଛି ବୁଝି ପାରୁନାହୁଁ।
18 ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନେ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତାହାଙ୍କ କହିବା ଅନୁସାରେ ସହେି 'ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟର ଅର୍ଥ କ'ଣ?' ସେ ଏପରି କ'ଣ କହୁଛନ୍ତି ଆମ୍ଭେ ବୁଝିପାରୁନାହୁଁ।
19 ଯୀଶୁ ଜାଣିଲେ ଯେ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଏ ବିଷୟ ରେ ପଚାରିବା ପାଇଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଛନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ ସେ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମାେ କଥାର ଅର୍ଥ କ'ଣ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ପଚାରୁଛ। ମୁଁ କହିଲି, ଅଳ୍ପକ୍ଷଣ ପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେତେ ଦେଖିପାରିବ ନାହିଁ ଓ ପୁଣି ଆଉ ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ଉତ୍ତା ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେତେ ଦେଖିପାରିବ।
20 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ଯ କହୁଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ କାନ୍ଦିବ ଓ ଦୁଃଖିତ ହବେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଜଗତ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହବେ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୁଃଖୀ ହବେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦୁଃଖ ଆନନ୍ଦ ରେ ପରିଣତ ହବେ,
21 ଯେତବେେଳେ ଜଣେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକ ଗୋଟିଏ ସନ୍ତାନକୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦିଏ, ସେ ୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଭୋଗ କରେ କାରଣ ଜନ୍ମ ଦବୋର ସମୟ ଆସିଯାଇଥାଏ। କିନ୍ତୁ ତାର ସନ୍ତାନ ଜନ୍ମ ହବୋ ପରେ ସେ କଷ୍ଟ ଭୁଲିଯାଏ। ଜଗତ ରେ ସନ୍ତାନଟିଏ ଜନ୍ମ ହଇେଥିବା କାରଣରୁ ସେ ଏବେ ଖୁସି ଅନୁଭବ କରେ।
22 ଏହିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭ କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ତାହା ଘଟିବ। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୁଃଖିତ। କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭଙ୍କୁ ପୁଣି ଭଟେିବି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଖୁସି ହବେ। କହେି ତୁମ୍ଭର ଆନନ୍ଦ ନଇେ ୟିବ ନାହିଁ।
23 ସହେିଦିନ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେତେ କିଛି ମାଗିବ ନାହିଁ। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ଯ କହୁଛି, ମାେ ନାମ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାହା ପରମପିତାଙ୍କୁ ମାଗିବ, ସେ ତାହା ଦବେେ।
24 ଏପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେ ନାମ ରେ କିଛି ମାଗି ନାହଁ। ମାଗ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପାଇବ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଆନନ୍ଦ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହବେ।
25 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସାଙ୍କତେିକ ଭାବରେ ଏ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ କହିଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ ସମୟ ଆସୁଛି, ଯେତବେେଳେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଏସବୁ ଏପରି ଭାବରେ କହିବି ନାହିଁ। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପରମପିତାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟ ରେ ସରଳ ଭାଷା ରେ କହିବି।
26 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସହେିଦିନ ପରମପିତାଙ୍କୁ ମାେ ନାମ ରେ ଅନକେ ବିଷୟ ମାଗିବ। ମୁଁ କହିଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ମାେତେ ପରମପିତାଙ୍କୁ କିଛି କହିବାର ଆବଶ୍ଯକତା ପଡିବ ନାହିଁ।
27 ପରମପିତା ତୁମ୍ଭଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ ରମେ କରନ୍ତି। ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପ୍ ରମେ କରନ୍ତି କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ପ୍ ରମେ କରିଛ। ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ ରମେ କରନ୍ତି କାରଣ ମୁଁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆସିଛି ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରିଛ।
28 ମୁଁ ଏହି ଜଗତକୁ ପରମପିତାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆସିଛି। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ମୁଁ ଏହି ଜଗତ ଛାଡି ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଫରେିୟିବି।
29 ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନେ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ଭାବରେ କହୁଛ। ବୁଝି ନ ପାରିଲା ଭଳି କଷ୍ଟକର ଶବ୍ଦ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହୁନାହଁ।
30 ଆମ୍ଭେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଦେଖି ପାରୁଛୁ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସବୁ କିଛି ଜାଣ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ତା'ର ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଚାରିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଉତ୍ତର କହିପାର। ଏହା ଦ୍ବାରା ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ବାସ ହାଇେଛି ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆସିଛ।
31 ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, ତବେେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରୁଛ?
32 ଶୁଣ! ସମୟ ଆସୁଛି ଯେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ହଇୟିବେ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ନିଜ ନିଜର ଘର ଭିତରକୁ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ହାଇେ ଚାଲିୟିବ। ସହେି ସମୟ ଆସି ପହଞ୍ଚିଛି। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ଏକାକୀ ଛାଡି ଦବେ। ମୁଁ ଏକୁଟିଆ ଥିବି। କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ କଦାପି ଏକୁଟିଆ ନୁହେଁ, କାରଣ ପରମପିତା ସବୁବେଳେ ମାେ ସହିତ ଅଛନ୍ତି।
33 ମାଠାେ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯେପରି ଶାନ୍ତି ପାଇବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହିଲିି। ଏହି ଜଗତ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କଷ୍ଟ ପାଇବ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସାହାସୀ ହୁଅ ମୁଁ ଜଗତକୁ ଜୟ କରିଛି।
1 These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
4 But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.
5 But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?
6 But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
17 Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
18 They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.
19 Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye inquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?
20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.
26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.
28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
29 His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.
30 Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
31 Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?
32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
John 20 in Tamil and English
1 ରବିବାର ଦିନ ପାହାନ୍ତିଆ ରେ ମଗ୍ଦଲୀନୀ ମରିୟମ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର କବର ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ସେତବେେଳେ ତଥାପି ଅନ୍ଧାର ଥିଲା। ସେ ଦେଖିଲେ ଯେ, ବହୂତ ବଡ ପଥରଟି କବର ଦ୍ବାରା ପାଖରୁ ଦୂରକୁ ଘୁଞ୍ଚି ଯାଇଛି।
The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
2 ତେଣୁ ମରିୟମ, ଶିମାନେ ପିତର ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣେ ଶିଷ୍ଯ ଯାହାଙ୍କୁ ଯୀଶୁ ପ୍ ରମେ କରୁଥିଲେ, ସମାନଙ୍କେ ନିକଟକୁ ଦୌଡିଗଲେ ଓ ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ମୃତଦହକେୁ କବର ଭିତରୁ ନଇଯାେଇଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କେଉଁଠା ରେ ରଖିଛନ୍ତି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣି ନାହୁଁ।
Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.
3 ତେଣୁ ପିତର ଓ ଅନ୍ୟଶିଷ୍ଯ କବର ନିକଟକୁ ୟିବାକୁ ବାହାରିଲେ।
Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.
4 ସମାନେେ ଦୁ ହେଁ ଦୌଡୁଥିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଶିଷ୍ଯଜଣକ ଜୋର୍ ରେ ଦୌଡୁଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ସେ ପ୍ରଥମେ କବର ପାଖ ରେ ପହନ୍ଚିଲେ।
So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.
5 ସେ ନଇଁପଡି ଭିତରକୁ ଚାହିଁ ପତଳା ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ସଠାେରେ ପଡିଥିବା ଦେଖିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଭିତରକୁ ଗଲେ ନାହିଁ।
And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.
6 ତା'ପର ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଛ ରେ ଶିମାନେ ପିତର ଆସି ପହନ୍ଚିଲେ। ପିତର କବର ଭିତରକୁ ଗଲେ ଏବଂ ସେ ମଧ୍ଯ ସଠାେରେ ପତଳା ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ପଡିଥିବାର ଦେଖିଲେ।
Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,
7 ଯେଉଁ ଲୁଗାଟି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ମୁଣ୍ଡ ରେ ଗୁଡା ହାଇେଥିଲା ତାହା ସେ ଦେଖିଲେ। ତାହା ପତଳା ବସ୍ତ୍ର ପାଖ ରେ ନଥାଇ ଅଲଗା ଜାଗା ରେ ଗୁଡଇେ ହାଇେ ପଡିଥିଲା। ପତଳା ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ସହିତ ତାହା ପଡି ନଥିଲା।
And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
8 ଏହାପରେ ଅନ୍ୟଶିଷ୍ଯ ଜଣକ ମଧ୍ଯ ଭିତରକୁ ଗଲେ, ସହେି ଶିଷ୍ଯ ଜଣକ କବର ପାଖ ରେ ଆଗ ପହନ୍ଚିଲେ। ସେ ସମସ୍ତ ଘଟଣା ଦେଖିଲେ ଓ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କଲେ।
Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.
9 ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ର ଅନୁସାରେ 'ଯୀଶୁ ମୃତ୍ଯୁରୁ ଅବଶ୍ଯ ପୁନର୍ଜୀବିତ ହବେେ', ଏହାର ଅର୍ଥ ସହେି ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନେ ଏପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ବୁଝି ପାରି ନଥିଲେ।
For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
10 ତା'ପରେ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନେ ଘରକୁ ଫରେିଗଲେ।
Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.
11 କିନ୍ତୁ ମରିୟମ କବର ବାହା ରେ ଠିଆ ହାଇେ କାନ୍ଦୁଥିଲେ। ସେ କାନ୍ଦୁଥିବା ବେଳେ ନଇଁପଡି କବର ଭିତରକୁ ଚାହିଁଲେ।
But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,
12 ସେ ଦୁଇ ଜଣ ସ୍ବର୍ଗଦୂତଙ୍କୁ ଧଳା ଲୁଗା ପିନ୍ଧି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଶରୀର ଯେଉଁଠା ରେ ଥିଲା, ତାହା ପାଖ ରେ ବସିବାର ଦେଖିଲେ। ଜଣେ ସ୍ବର୍ଗଦୂତ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ମୁଣ୍ଡ ରହିଥିବା ଜାଗା ରେ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣେ ପାଦ ରହିଥିବା ଜାଗା ରେ ବସିଥିଲେ।
And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
13 ସମାନେେ ମରିୟମଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ହେ ନାରୀ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି କାନ୍ଦୁଛ?
And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
14 ସେ ଏହା କହି ବୁଲି ପଡିଲେ। ସେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ସଠାେରେ ଠିଆ ହାଇେଥିବା ଦେଖିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ମରିୟମ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଚିହ୍ନିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
15 ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ହେ ନାରୀ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି କାନ୍ଦୁଛ? ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହାକୁ ଖାଜେୁଛ?
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
16 ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମରିୟମ,।
Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
17 ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମାେତେ ଧର ନାହିଁ। ମୁଁ ଏ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ପରମପିତାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଯାଇନାହିଁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାଇ ମାରେ ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ ଯେ, ମୁଁ ମାରେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପରମପିତାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଫରେିଯାଉଛି। ମୁଁ ମାରେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି।
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
18 ମଗ୍ଦଲୀନୀ ମରିୟମ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଗଲେ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲି। ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଯୀଶୁ କରିଥିବା କଥା ଶୁଣାଇଲେ।
Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
19 ସଦେିନ ରବିବାର ଥିଲା। ସନ୍ଧ୍ଯା ରେ ସବୁ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନେ ଏକାଠି ହେଲେ। ଯିହୂଦୀ ନେତାମାନଙ୍କ ଭୟ ରେ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନେ ଘରର ସବୁ କବାଟ ବନ୍ଦ କରିଦଇେଥିଲେ। ତା'ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଆସି ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧିଅରେ ଠିଆ ହାଇେ ସେ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଶାନ୍ତି ହେଉ।
Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
20 ଯୀଶୁ ଏକଥା କହିବା ପରେ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ହାତ ଗୋଡ ଦଖାଇେଲେ। ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ଅତ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଖୁସି ହେଲେ।
And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
21 ଯୀଶୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଶାନ୍ତି ହେଉ। ମାେତେ ପରମପିତା ଯେପରି ପଠାଇଥିଲେ, ମୁଁ ସହେିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ପଠାଉଛି।
Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
22 ଯୀଶୁ ଏହି କଥା କହିବା ପରେ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରଶ୍ବାସ ଛାଡି ସେ କହିଲେ, ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କର।
And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
23 ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ପାପ କ୍ଷମା କରିବ ତବେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପାପ କ୍ଷମା କରା ହବେ। ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ପାପ କ୍ଷମା କରିବ ନାହିଁ, ତବେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପାପ କ୍ଷମା କରା ହବେ ନାହିଁ।
Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
24 ଥୋମା ଯାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦିଦୁମ କୁହାଯାଉଥିଲା, ଯୀଶୁ ଆସିଲା ବେଳେ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ନଥିଲା। ସେ ବାରଜଣ ଶିଷ୍ଯଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ଜଣେ ଥିଲା।
But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
25 ଅନ୍ୟ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନେ ଥୋମାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲୁ। ଥୋମା କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ହାତ ରେ କଣ୍ଟାଦାଗ ନ ଦେଖିଲା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରିବି ନାହିଁ। ମୁଁ ମାରେ ଆଙ୍ଗୁଠି ସହେି କଣ୍ଟାର ଦାଗ ରେ ନରଖିବା ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ କକ୍ଷଦେଶ ରେ ମାରେ ହାତ ନଦବୋ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ, ମୁଁ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରିବି ନାହିଁ।
The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
26 ଗୋଟିଏ ସପ୍ତାହ ପରେ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନେ ପୁଣି ଘର ଭିତ ରେ ଥିଲେ। ଥୋମା ସମାନଙ୍କେ ସହିତ ଥିଲେ। କବାଟରେ ତାଲା ପଡିଥିଲା। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଆସି ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧିଅରେ ଠିଆ ହେଲେ। ସେ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଶାନ୍ତି ହେଉ।
And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27 ତା'ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଥୋମାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଏଠା ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଆଙ୍ଗୁଳି ରଖ। ମାେ ହାତକୁ ଦେଖ। ମାେ କକ୍ଷଦେଶ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ହାତ ରଖ। ଅବିଶ୍ବାସ ନକରି ବିଶ୍ବାସ କର।
Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 ଥୋମା ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ କହିଲେ, ମାରେପ୍ରଭୁ, ମାରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର।
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29 ଯୀଶୁ ଥୋମାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ଦେଖିବାରୁ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରୁଛ। ମାତ୍ର ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ମାେତେ ନ ଦେଖି ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରନ୍ତି, ସମାନେେ ପ୍ରକୃତ ରେ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦର ଯୋଗ୍ଯ।
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
30 ଯୀଶୁ ଅନକଗେୁଡିଏ ଅନ୍ୟ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ଯକାର୍ୟ୍ଯଗୁଡିକ କଲେ। ସଗେୁଡିକୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନେ ଦେଖିଲେ। ସହେି ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ଯକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଗୁଡିକ ଏ ବହି ରେ ଲଖାଯାେଇନାହିଁ,
And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
31 କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଏହି ସବୁ ଲଖାେ ହାଇେଛି ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରିବ ଯେ ଯୀଶୁ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଅଟନ୍ତି ଓ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନାମ ଦ୍ବାରା ଜୀବନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହବେ, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ଏ ସମସ୍ତ ଲଖାଯାେଇଛି।
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
