ସମାନେେ ତବଲା ଓ ବୀଣା ବଜାଇ ନୃତ୍ଯ ଗୀତ ରେ ମାତନ୍ତି।

1 ಬಳಿಕ ಕೆಲವರು ಯೂದಾಯದಿಂದ ಬಂದು--ಮೋಶೆಯ ನೇಮದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನೀವು ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಾಗಲಾರದು ಎಂಬದಾಗಿ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2 ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಮತ್ತು ಪೌಲ ಬಾರ್ನಬರ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಭಿನ್ನಾಭಿ ಪ್ರಾಯವೂ ವಾಗ್ವಾದವೂ ಉಂಟಾದಾಗ ಪೌಲ ಬಾರ್ನಬರೂ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲವರೂ ಈ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಾಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿರಿಯರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದರು.
When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
3 ಸಭೆಯವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಾಗಕಳು ಹಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಫೊಯಿನಿಕೆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯಗಳ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅನ್ಯಜನರು (ಕರ್ತನ ಕಡೆಗೆ) ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ವಿವರ ವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸಹೋದರರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಯಿತು.
And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
4 ಅವರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದಮೇಲೆ ಸಭೆಯವರೂ ಅಪೊಸ್ತ ಲರೂ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದು ಮಾಡಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
5 ಆದರೆ ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ಪಂಗಡದವರಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿದ್ದ ಕೆಲವರು ಎದ್ದು--ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡಿಸುವದು ಅವಶ್ಯವೆಂತಲೂ ಮೋಶೆಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದರು.
But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
6 ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರೂ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಈ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆಲೋಚಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿರುವಾಗ
And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
7 ಬಹು ವಿವಾದವು ನಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಎದ್ದು ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಜನರೇ, ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಅನ್ಯಜನರು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನಂಬ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ದೇವರು ಬಹಳ ದಿವಸಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಮ್ಮೊಳ ಗಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು ನಿಮಗೇ ತಿಳಿದದೆ.
And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8 ಹೃದಯ ಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲವನಾಗಿರುವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮ ನನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರಿಗೂ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿ ಅವರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನು ನಮಗೂ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಏನೂ ಭೇದ ಮಾಡದೆ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸಿದನು.
And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10 ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಾಗಲಿ ನಾವಾಗಲಿ ಹೋರಲಾರದ ನೊಗವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವದು ಯಾಕೆ?
Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಾವು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವೆವೆಂಬದಾಗಿ ನಂಬುತ್ತೇವಲ್ಲಾ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರೂ ಹೊಂದುವರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದನು.
But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
12 ಸಮೂಹದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಬಾರ್ನ ಬನೂ ಪೌಲನೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ದೇವರು ಅನ್ಯಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅದ್ಭುತಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಿವರಿಸುವದನ್ನು ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
13 ಅವರು ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಯಾಕೋ ಬನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಜನರೇ, ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ;
And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
14 ದೇವರು ಮೊದಲೇ ಅನ್ಯಜನರನ್ನು ದರ್ಶಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವರೊ ಳಗಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಜೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ವಿಧವನ್ನು ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದನಷ್ಟೆ.
Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15 ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಒಪ್ಪುತ್ತವೆ, ಹೇಗಂದರೆ--
And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16 ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿರುವ ದಾವೀದನ ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟುವೆನು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಸರಿಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುವೆನು.
After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
17 ಅವೆಲ್ಲವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಕರ್ತನು--ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅನ್ಯಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
18 ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಲೋಕಾದಿಯಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
19 ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅನ್ಯಜನರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡವರನ್ನು ನಾವು ತೊಂದರೆಪಡಿ ಸಬಾರದೆಂಬದು ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಮಲಿನತೆಯನ್ನೂ ಜಾರತ್ವವನ್ನೂ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಿಸುಕಿ ಕೊಂದವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೂ ವಿಸ ರ್ಜಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬರೆಯುವೆವು.
But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
21 ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪುರಾತನ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಗ್ರಂಥವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುವ ವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅದು ಪ್ರತಿ ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿನವೂ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರಾಯಣವಾಗುತ್ತದಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
22 ಆಗ ಅಪೋಸ್ತಲರೂ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಸರ್ವಸಭೆಯ ಸಮ್ಮತಿಯಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಪೌಲ ಬಾರ್ನಬರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವದು ಯುಕ್ತವೆಂದು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಬಾರ್ಸ ಬ್ಬನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಯೂದನನ್ನೂ ಸೀಲನನ್ನೂ ಆರಿಸಿ ಕೊಂ
Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
23 ಅವರು ಬರೆದುಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಈ ರೀತಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು; ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರೂ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಸಹೋದರರೂ ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯ ಸಿರಿಯ ಕಿಲಿಕ್ಯ ಸೀಮೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಅನ್ಯಜನರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಸಹೋದರರಾದವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡುವ ವಂದನೆ;
And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
24 ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಹೊಂದದೆ ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದ ಕೆಲವರು--ನೀವು ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಂದರೆಪಡಿಸಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳವಳ ಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ
Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
25 ನಾವು ಒಮ್ಮನ ಸ್ಸಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿಬಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಜೀವದ ಹಂಗನ್ನು ತೊರೆದವರಾಗಿರುವ
It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
26 ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಬಾರ್ನಬ ಸೌಲರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿ ಸುವದು ಯುಕ್ತವೆಂದು ನಮಗೆ ತೋಚಿತು.
Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 ಆದಕಾರಣ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಸಹ ತಿಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ನಾವು ಯೂದನನ್ನೂ ಸೀಲನನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.
28 ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವಶ್ಯವಾದ ಈ ವಿಷಯಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಭಾರವನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಬಾರದೆಂದು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನಿಗೂ ನಮಗೂ ಯುಕ್ತ ವೆಂದು ತೋಚಿತು.
For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
29 ಏನಂದರೆ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಭೋಜನ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೂ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಿಸುಕಿ ಕೊಂದವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಜಾರತ್ವವನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ವಿಸರ್ಜಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬದೇ. ಇವುಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಾಗುವದು. ನಿಮಗೆ ಶುಭವಾಗಲಿ.
That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
30 ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಕಳುಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು; ಅವರು ಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಆ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:
31 ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಓದಿ ಆದರಣೆ ಹೊಂದಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು.
Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
32 ಯೂದನೂ ಸೀಲನೂ ತಾವೇ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಸಹೋ ದರರನ್ನು ಅನೇಕ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರಭೋದಿಸಿ ದೃಢ ಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
33 ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಕಾಲ ಕಳೆದ ನಂತರ ಸಮಾಧಾನದಿಂದ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹೋದರರಿಂದ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡರು.
And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.
34 ಹೀಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಸೀಲನಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇನ್ನೂ ಇರುವದು ಉಚಿತವೆಂದು ತೋಚಿತು.
Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.
35 ಆದರೆ ಪೌಲನೂ ಬಾರ್ನಬನೂ ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿಂತು ಬೇರೆ ಅನೇಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಸಾರುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.
Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.
36 ಕೆಲವು ದಿವಸಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪೌಲನು ಬಾರ್ನಬನಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಾರಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಹೋದರರು ಹೇಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ನೋಡೋಣ ಬಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.
37 ಬಾರ್ನಬನು ಮಾರ್ಕನೆನಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಯೋಹಾನನನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಕರೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದನು.
And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.
38 ಆದರೆ ಪೌಲನು ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾರದೆ ಪಂಫುಲ್ಯದಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋದವನನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವದು ತಕ್ಕದ್ದಲ್ಲ ವೆಂದು ನೆನಸಿದನು.
But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
39 ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣ ವಾಗ್ವಾದವುಂಟಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಅಗಲಿ ದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ಬಾರ್ನಬನು ಮಾರ್ಕನನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಸಮುದ್ರ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಕುಪ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು.
And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;
40 ಆದರೆ ಪೌಲನು ಸಹೋದರರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಕೃಪೆಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಸೀಲನನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟನು.
And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.

Acts 15 in Tamil and English
1 ಬಳಿಕ ಕೆಲವರು ಯೂದಾಯದಿಂದ ಬಂದು--ಮೋಶೆಯ ನೇಮದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನೀವು ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಾಗಲಾರದು ಎಂಬದಾಗಿ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2 ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಮತ್ತು ಪೌಲ ಬಾರ್ನಬರ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಭಿನ್ನಾಭಿ ಪ್ರಾಯವೂ ವಾಗ್ವಾದವೂ ಉಂಟಾದಾಗ ಪೌಲ ಬಾರ್ನಬರೂ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲವರೂ ಈ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಾಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿರಿಯರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದರು.
When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
3 ಸಭೆಯವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಾಗಕಳು ಹಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಫೊಯಿನಿಕೆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯಗಳ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅನ್ಯಜನರು (ಕರ್ತನ ಕಡೆಗೆ) ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ವಿವರ ವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸಹೋದರರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಯಿತು.
And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
4 ಅವರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದಮೇಲೆ ಸಭೆಯವರೂ ಅಪೊಸ್ತ ಲರೂ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದು ಮಾಡಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
5 ಆದರೆ ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ಪಂಗಡದವರಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿದ್ದ ಕೆಲವರು ಎದ್ದು--ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡಿಸುವದು ಅವಶ್ಯವೆಂತಲೂ ಮೋಶೆಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದರು.
But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
6 ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರೂ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಈ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆಲೋಚಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿರುವಾಗ
And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
7 ಬಹು ವಿವಾದವು ನಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಎದ್ದು ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಜನರೇ, ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಅನ್ಯಜನರು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನಂಬ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ದೇವರು ಬಹಳ ದಿವಸಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಮ್ಮೊಳ ಗಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು ನಿಮಗೇ ತಿಳಿದದೆ.
And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8 ಹೃದಯ ಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲವನಾಗಿರುವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮ ನನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರಿಗೂ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿ ಅವರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನು ನಮಗೂ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಏನೂ ಭೇದ ಮಾಡದೆ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸಿದನು.
And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10 ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಾಗಲಿ ನಾವಾಗಲಿ ಹೋರಲಾರದ ನೊಗವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವದು ಯಾಕೆ?
Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಾವು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವೆವೆಂಬದಾಗಿ ನಂಬುತ್ತೇವಲ್ಲಾ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರೂ ಹೊಂದುವರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದನು.
But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
12 ಸಮೂಹದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಬಾರ್ನ ಬನೂ ಪೌಲನೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ದೇವರು ಅನ್ಯಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅದ್ಭುತಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಿವರಿಸುವದನ್ನು ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
13 ಅವರು ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಯಾಕೋ ಬನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಜನರೇ, ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ;
And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
14 ದೇವರು ಮೊದಲೇ ಅನ್ಯಜನರನ್ನು ದರ್ಶಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವರೊ ಳಗಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಜೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ವಿಧವನ್ನು ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದನಷ್ಟೆ.
Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15 ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಒಪ್ಪುತ್ತವೆ, ಹೇಗಂದರೆ--
And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16 ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿರುವ ದಾವೀದನ ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟುವೆನು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಸರಿಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುವೆನು.
After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
17 ಅವೆಲ್ಲವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಕರ್ತನು--ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅನ್ಯಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
18 ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಲೋಕಾದಿಯಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
19 ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅನ್ಯಜನರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡವರನ್ನು ನಾವು ತೊಂದರೆಪಡಿ ಸಬಾರದೆಂಬದು ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಮಲಿನತೆಯನ್ನೂ ಜಾರತ್ವವನ್ನೂ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಿಸುಕಿ ಕೊಂದವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೂ ವಿಸ ರ್ಜಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬರೆಯುವೆವು.
But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
21 ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪುರಾತನ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಗ್ರಂಥವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುವ ವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅದು ಪ್ರತಿ ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿನವೂ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರಾಯಣವಾಗುತ್ತದಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
22 ಆಗ ಅಪೋಸ್ತಲರೂ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಸರ್ವಸಭೆಯ ಸಮ್ಮತಿಯಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಪೌಲ ಬಾರ್ನಬರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವದು ಯುಕ್ತವೆಂದು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಬಾರ್ಸ ಬ್ಬನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಯೂದನನ್ನೂ ಸೀಲನನ್ನೂ ಆರಿಸಿ ಕೊಂ
Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
23 ಅವರು ಬರೆದುಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಈ ರೀತಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು; ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರೂ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಸಹೋದರರೂ ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯ ಸಿರಿಯ ಕಿಲಿಕ್ಯ ಸೀಮೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಅನ್ಯಜನರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಸಹೋದರರಾದವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡುವ ವಂದನೆ;
And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
24 ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಹೊಂದದೆ ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದ ಕೆಲವರು--ನೀವು ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಂದರೆಪಡಿಸಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳವಳ ಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ
Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
25 ನಾವು ಒಮ್ಮನ ಸ್ಸಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿಬಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಜೀವದ ಹಂಗನ್ನು ತೊರೆದವರಾಗಿರುವ
It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
26 ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಬಾರ್ನಬ ಸೌಲರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿ ಸುವದು ಯುಕ್ತವೆಂದು ನಮಗೆ ತೋಚಿತು.
Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 ಆದಕಾರಣ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಸಹ ತಿಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ನಾವು ಯೂದನನ್ನೂ ಸೀಲನನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.
28 ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವಶ್ಯವಾದ ಈ ವಿಷಯಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಭಾರವನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಬಾರದೆಂದು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನಿಗೂ ನಮಗೂ ಯುಕ್ತ ವೆಂದು ತೋಚಿತು.
For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
29 ಏನಂದರೆ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಭೋಜನ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೂ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಿಸುಕಿ ಕೊಂದವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಜಾರತ್ವವನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ವಿಸರ್ಜಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬದೇ. ಇವುಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಾಗುವದು. ನಿಮಗೆ ಶುಭವಾಗಲಿ.
That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
30 ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಕಳುಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು; ಅವರು ಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಆ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:
31 ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಓದಿ ಆದರಣೆ ಹೊಂದಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು.
Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
32 ಯೂದನೂ ಸೀಲನೂ ತಾವೇ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಸಹೋ ದರರನ್ನು ಅನೇಕ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರಭೋದಿಸಿ ದೃಢ ಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
33 ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಕಾಲ ಕಳೆದ ನಂತರ ಸಮಾಧಾನದಿಂದ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹೋದರರಿಂದ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡರು.
And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.
34 ಹೀಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಸೀಲನಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇನ್ನೂ ಇರುವದು ಉಚಿತವೆಂದು ತೋಚಿತು.
Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.
35 ಆದರೆ ಪೌಲನೂ ಬಾರ್ನಬನೂ ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿಂತು ಬೇರೆ ಅನೇಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಸಾರುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.
Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.
36 ಕೆಲವು ದಿವಸಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪೌಲನು ಬಾರ್ನಬನಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಾರಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಹೋದರರು ಹೇಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ನೋಡೋಣ ಬಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.
37 ಬಾರ್ನಬನು ಮಾರ್ಕನೆನಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಯೋಹಾನನನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಕರೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದನು.
And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.
38 ಆದರೆ ಪೌಲನು ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾರದೆ ಪಂಫುಲ್ಯದಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋದವನನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವದು ತಕ್ಕದ್ದಲ್ಲ ವೆಂದು ನೆನಸಿದನು.
But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.

And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;
40 ಆದರೆ ಪೌಲನು ಸಹೋದರರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಕೃಪೆಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಸೀಲನನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟನು.
And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.
41 ಅವನು ಸಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ದೃಢಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಸಿರಿಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕಿಲಿಕ್ಯಗಳ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋದನು.
And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
