Jeremiah 34:1
ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦନିତ୍ସର ଓ ତାହାର ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନ୍ଯ, ତାହାର ଶାସନାଧୀନ ସମସ୍ତ ରାଜ୍ଯ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ଓ ତାହାର ନଗର ସମୂହର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଯିରିମିୟଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏହି ବାକ୍ଯ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା।

ସେତବେେଳେ ବାବିଲ ରାଜାର ସୈନ୍ଯଗଣ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ଅବରୋଧ କରୁଥିଲେ ଓ ଯିରିମିୟ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦବକ୍ତା ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜଗୃହର ପ୍ରହରୀ ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣ ରେ ବନ୍ଦ ଥିଲେ।

ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତାଙ୍କୁ ଏପରି ମହିମାନ୍ବିତ କଲେ ଯେ ସକଳ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ, ନାନା ଦେଶୀଯ ଓ ଭାଷାବାଦୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁ ରେ କମ୍ପିତ ହାଇେ ଭୟ କଲେ। ସେ ଯାହାକୁ ମାରିବାକୁ ଚାହିଁଲେ ତାକୁ ବଧ କଲେ। ପୁଣି ଯାହାକୁ ବଞ୍ଚିବାକୁ ଚାହିଁଲେ, ସେ ଜୀବିତ ରହିଲା। ତାଙ୍କରି ଇଚ୍ଛାନୁସା ରେ ଜଣେ ଉନ୍ନତ ହେଲା ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ଇଚ୍ଛାନୁସା ରେ ଜଣେ ଅବନତ ହେଲା।

ହେ ମହାରାଜ, ସହେି ବୃକ୍ଷ ଆପଣ ଅଟନ୍ତି। ଆପଣ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇ ବଳବାନ୍ ହାଇେଅଛନ୍ତି। କାରଣ ଆପଣଙ୍କର ମହତ୍ବ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇଅଛି ଓ ତାହା ଗଗନ ସ୍ପର୍ଶ କରୁଅଛି। ଆଉ ଆପଣଙ୍କର କତ୍ତୃର୍ତ୍ବ ପୃଥିବୀର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ବ୍ଯାପିଅଛି।

ସମୁଦାଯ ପୃଥିବୀ ନିବାସୀ ୟାବତୀଯ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ, ଦେଶୀଯ ଓ ଭାଷାବାଦୀ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସର ରାଜାଙ୍କର ବିଜ୍ଞାପନ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବାହୁଲ୍ଯରୂପେ ଶାନ୍ତି ହେଉ।

ତା'ପ ରେ ରାଜତ୍ବର ନବମ ବର୍ଷର, ଦଶମ ମାସର ଦଶମ ଦିନ ରେ, ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦନିତ୍ସର ଓ ତାହାର ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନ୍ଯ ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଆସିଲେ ଓ ତାହା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବାକୁ ପାଇଁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଛାଉଣୀ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଏହାର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗ ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି ଅବରୋଧର କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କଲେ।

ଅନନ୍ତର ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ସିଦିକିଯର ରାଜଜ୍ବର ନବମ ବର୍ଷର ଦଶମ ମାସ ରେ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୁଖଦନିତ୍ସର ଓ ତାହାର ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନ୍ଯ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଆସି ତାହା ଅବରୋଧ କଲେ।
Jeremiah 34:7
ସେତବେେଳେ ବାବିଲ ରାଜାର ସୈନ୍ଯ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ, ଯିହୁଦାର ଅବଶଷ୍ଟ ସକଳ ନଗର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଓ ଲାଖୀର ଏବଂ ଆ ସକୋ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରୁଥିଲେ। କାରଣ ଯିହୁଦା ଦେଶର ନଗର ସମୂହ ମଧିଅରେ ଏହି ଦୁଇଟି ମାତ୍ର ପ୍ରାଚୀର ବେଷ୍ଟିତ ନଗର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଥିଲା।
Jeremiah 27:5
ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭର ମହାପରାକ୍ରମ ଓ ବିଶାଳ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ବାହୁ ଦ୍ବାରା ଏହି ପୃଥିବୀ ଓ ପୃଥିବୀ ନିବାସୀ ସକଳ ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ଓ ପଶୁ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଅଛୁ। ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ସ୍ବଇଚ୍ଛା ରେ ଯାହାକୁ ଉଚିତ ମନେ କରିବୁ, ଏହା ଦଇପୋରିବୁ।
2 Chronicles 36:12
ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛାନୁୟାଯୀ କର୍ମ କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ବକ୍ତା ଯିରିମିୟ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆଗତ ବାର୍ତ୍ତାସବୁ କହିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସିଦିକିଯ ନିଜକୁ ନମ୍ର କଲେ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଯିରିମିୟ ଯେଉଁସବୁ କଥା କହିଲେ, ତାହା ମାନିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
