Isaiah 38
1 ସହେି ସମୟରେ ହିଜକିଯ ସାଂଘାତିକ ରୋଗ ରେ ପୀଡ଼ିତ ହେଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଆମାେସଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ ବକ୍ତା ଯିଶାଇୟ ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି କହିଲେ,
2 ଏଥି ରେ ହିଜକିଯ ମନ୍ଦିର ଆଡ଼େ ମୁହଁ ଫରୋଇ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରି କହିଲା,
3 ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ମୁଁ ବିନଯ କରି କହୁଅଛି, ମୁଁ ବିଶ୍ବସ୍ତ ଭାବରେ ସର୍ବାନ୍ତଃକରଣ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଉପାସନା କରିଅଛି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ ଉତ୍ତମ କର୍ମ କରିଅଛି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସ୍ମରଣ କର। ଏହା କହି ହିଜକିଯ ଅତିଶଯ ରୋଦନ କଲା।
4 ସେତବେେଳେ ଯିଶାଇୟ ଏହି ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଲାଭ କଲେ।
5 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ହିଜକିଯ ନିକଟକୁ ୟାଅ ଓ ଏହିକଥା କୁହ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହିକଥା କୁହନ୍ତି, 'ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଶୁଣିଅଛୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଲୋତକ ଦେଖିଅଛୁ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଆଯୁ ପନ୍ଦରବର୍ଷ ବଢ଼ାଇବା।'
6 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ନଗରକୁ ଅଶୂରୀଯ ରାଜା ହସ୍ତରୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବି ଓ ଏହି ନଗରର ସପକ୍ଷ ନବେି।
7 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ଯ ସଫଳ କରିବେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ତାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏହି ଚିହ୍ନ ହବେ।
8 ଦେଖ, ମୁଁ ଆହସର ସୂର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଘଟିକା ରେ ସୂର୍ୟ୍ଯର ଛାଯା ଯେତେ ଆଗକୁ ୟାଇଅଛି, ତାହାକୁ ଦିଗପାହୁଣ୍ଡ ପଛକୁ ଫରୋଇ ଆଣିବି।
9 ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ହିଜକିଯ ପୀଡ଼ିତାବସ୍ଥାରୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ ହେଲାପ ରେ ଏହା ଲଖାଗେଲା।
10 ମୁଁ ନିଜକୁ କହିଲି ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ଆଯୁର ମଧ୍ଯାହ୍ନ ସମୟରେ ପାତାଳପୁର ଦ୍ବାର ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବି। ମୁଁ ନିଜର ଜୀବନ ସମୟର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତିରୁ ବଞ୍ଚିତ ହଲିେ।
11 ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ କହିଲି, ମୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଜୀବିତମାନଙ୍କ ଦେଶ ରେ ଦେଖିବି ନାହିଁ। ପୁଣି ଏ ଜଗତ ରେ ଜୀବିତମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ଦେଖିବି ନାହିଁ।
12 ମଷେପାଳକର ତମ୍ବୁକୁ ତା'ଠାରୁ ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତରିତ କଲାପରି ମାରେ ଆଯୁକୁ ମାଠାରୁେ ଦୂରୀକୃତ କରାୟାଇଛି। ମାରେ ଜୀବନକୁ ତନ୍ତପରି ଗୁଡ଼ାଇ ଅଛି। ସେ ମାେତେ ତନ୍ତରୁ କାଟି ପକାଇବେ। ଏକ ଦିବାରାତ୍ର ସମୟ ମଧିଅରେ ମାରେ ଜୀବନ ନିଃଶଷେ କରି ଦବେ।
13 ମୁଁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରଭାତ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ କଲି। ଯେପରି ସିଂହା ମାରେ ଅସ୍ଥିସବୁ ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରୁଅଛି। ଏକ ଦିବାରାତ୍ର ସ୍ବଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ମଧିଅରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ଶଷେ କରିବ।
14 ମୁଁ କପୋତ, ଚାତକ ଓ ସାରସ ପକ୍ଷୀପରି ଶବ୍ଦ କଲି। ଉପରକୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି କରି କରି ମାରଚେକ୍ଷୁ କ୍ଲାନ୍ତ ହାଇଗେଲା। ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ମୁଁ ବିପଦଗ୍ରସ୍ତ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କର।'
15 ମୁଁ କ'ଣ କହିବି ? ଯେତବେେଳେ ସେ ମାେତେ କହି ଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ତାହା ନିଜେ ସାଧନ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ମାରେ ଆତ୍ମା ତିକ୍ତତା ସକାେଶ ମୁଁ ବର୍ଷୟାକ ଧୀ ରେ ଧୀ ରେ ଚାଲିବି।
16 ହେ ପ୍ରଭୋ, ଏହିସବୁ ଦ୍ବାରା ଲୋକେ ବଞ୍ଚନ୍ତି। ଆଉ ସେଥି ରେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣରୂପେ ମାରେ ଆତ୍ମାର ଜୀବନ ଅଛି। ଏଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରି ପୁନଃର୍ଜୀବନ ଦିଅ।
17 ଦେଖ, ମାରଦେୁଃଖ ଚାଲିୟାଇଛି, ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ମାରେଶାନ୍ତି ଆସିଛି। ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ପ୍ ରମେ କରି ବିନାଶ କୂପରୁ ମାରେ ପ୍ରାଣକୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କଲ। କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ କ୍ଷମା କରି ମାରେସମସ୍ତ ପାପକୁ ପଛକୁ ପକାଇ ଦଇେଛ।
18 ପାତାଳ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଧନ୍ଯବାଦ ଦଇେ ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ। ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଶଂସାଗାନ କରିପାରିବ ନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ମର୍ତ୍ତଗାମୀମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ବସ୍ତତା ଘୋଷଣା କରିବନେି।
19 ମୁଁ ଯେପରି କରୁଅଛି ସହେିପରି ଜୀବିତ ଲୋକେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରିବେ। ଜଣେ ପିତା ତା'ର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସତ୍ଯତା ଜ୍ଞାନ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରାଇବେ।
20 ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ କହିବି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେତେ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ କଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଜୀବନସାରା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ରେ ତାରୟୁକ୍ତ ୟନ୍ତ୍ର ସହିତ ସଙ୍ଗୀତ ଗାନ କରିବୁ।'
21 ତା'ପ ରେ ଯିଶାଇୟ ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଡ଼ିମ୍ବିରିକୁ ଏକତ୍ର ଛଚେ ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭର କ୍ଷତ ରେ ଲଗାଅ। ତାହା ହେଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆରୋଗ୍ୟ ଲାଭ କରିବ।'
22 ମାତ୍ର ହିଜକିଯ ଯିଶାଇୟଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ କଲେ, ମୁଁ ଭଲ ହବେି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କି ସଙ୍କତେ ଦ୍ବାରା ପ୍ରମାଣ କରିବେ। ମୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ୟିବି କେଉଁ ସଙ୍କତେ ଦ୍ବାରା ପ୍ରମାଣିତ ହବେ।'
1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.
2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the Lord,
3 And said, Remember now, O Lord, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
4 Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying,
5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
6 And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.
7 And this shall be a sign unto thee from the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing that he hath spoken;
8 Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
9 The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness:
10 I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years.
11 I said, I shall not see the Lord, even the Lord, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
12 Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd’s tent: I have cut off like a weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.
13 I reckoned till morning, that, as a lion, so will he break all my bones: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.
14 Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O Lord, I am oppressed; undertake for me.
15 What shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it: I shall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.
16 O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live.
17 Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
18 For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
19 The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
20 The Lord was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the Lord.
21 For Isaiah had said, Let them take a lump of figs, and lay it for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover.
22 Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the Lord?
Isaiah 46 in Tamil and English
1 ବେଲ୍ ଓ ନବୋ ଆମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଅବନତ ହବେେ। ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପ୍ରତିମାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଜନ୍ତୁ ଓ ପଶୁମାନଙ୍କ ଉପ ରେ ଥୁଆ ହାଇେଛନ୍ତି। ସଗେୁଡ଼ିକ ବୋଝପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବହି ଚାଲିଲ, ତାହା କ୍ଲାନ୍ତ ପଶୁମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କବଳେ ଭାର ହାଇେଅଛି।
Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they are a burden to the weary beast.
2 ସମାନେେ ଅବନତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ସମାନେେ ଏକତ୍ର ନତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ଭାର ରକ୍ଷା କରି ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ, ନିଜେ ନିଜେ ବନ୍ଦୀ ହାଇଗେଲେ।
They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.
3 ହେ ଯାକୁବର ପରିବାର, ହେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶ ଆମ୍ଭ କଥା ଶୁଣ ! ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବହନ କରି ଆସୁଅଛୁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଗର୍ଭସ୍ଥ ହବୋ ଦିନଠାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭଦ୍ବାରା ବାହିତ ହାଇେଅଛ।
Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:
4 ତୁମ୍ଭର ଜନ୍ମ ସମୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ବହନ କରିଥିଲୁ। ପୁଣି ବାର୍ଦ୍ଧକ୍ଯ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବହନ କରିବୁ। ପକ୍ବକେଶ ହବୋ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଆମ୍ଭେ ବହନ କରିବୁ। କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଛୁ। ତେଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ବହନ କରିବା ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବା।
And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
5 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ କାହା ସହିତ ତୁଳନା କରି ପାରିବ କି ? ନା, କାରଣ କୌଣସି ଲୋକ ଆମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ସମାନ ନୁହେଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭ ବିଷଯ ରେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଅଜ୍ଞ। ଆମ୍ଭ ସଦୃଶ କହେି ନାହିଁ।
To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
6 ସମାନେେ ଥଳିରୁ ସୁନା ଢ଼ାଳନ୍ତି ଓ ନିକ୍ତି ରେ ରୂପା ତୌଲନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ସୁନାରିକୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଦବେତା ଗଢ଼ିବା ପାଇଁ ମୂଲ୍ଯ ଦିଅନ୍ତି ଓ ସେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଦବେତା ନିର୍ମାଣ କରେ। ସମାନେେ ତାକୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କରି ପୂଜା କରନ୍ତି।
They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.
7 ସମାନେେ ତାହାକୁ ସ୍କନ୍ଧ ରେ ବହନ କରି ନିଅନ୍ତି। ତାକୁ ନଇେ ତା'ର ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ରଖନ୍ତି। ସେ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ଛିଡ଼ା ହୁଏ ମାତ୍ର ନିଜେ ନିଜ ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଘୁଞ୍ଚେ ନାହିଁ। ଡାକିଲେ ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦବେ ନାହିଁ କିମ୍ବା କାହାରିକୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
8 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏହା ସ୍ମରଣ କର ଓ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ହୁଅ। ହେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଅପରାଧ କର, ଏବିଷଯ ରେ ଚିନ୍ତା କର।
Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.
9 ପୁରାତନ କଥାକୁ ସ୍ମରଣ କର, କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଓ ଅଦ୍ବିତୀୟ, ଆମ୍ଭ ତୁଲ୍ଯ ଅନ୍ୟ କହେି ନାହିଁ।
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 ଶଷେ ରେ କ'ଣ ଘଟିବ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆଦ୍ଯରୁ କହିଥାଉଁ। ପୁଣି ଯାହା ଘଟି ନାହିଁ ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ କାଳରୁ ଜଣାଇଥାଉ ଓ କହୁ। ଆମ୍ଭର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ସାଧିତ ହବେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିଜର ସକଳ ମନୋରଥ ସିଦ୍ଧ କରିବୁ।
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
11 ଆମ୍ଭେ ପୂର୍ବଦିଗସ୍ଥ ଦୂରଦେଶରୁ ଏକ ମନୁଷ୍ଯକୁ ଆହ୍ବାନ କରୁ। ସହେି ମନୁଷ୍ଯଟି ଉତ୍କ୍ରୋଶ ପକ୍ଷୀ ସଦୃଶ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯାହା ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା କରୁ ସେ ତାହାହିଁ କରିବ। ଆମ୍ଭେ କଳ୍ପନା କରିଅଛୁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ସଫଳ କରିବା।
Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
12 ହେ ଧର୍ମରୁ ବିରତ କଠିନ ହୃଦଯ ଲୋକେ, ଆମ୍ଭର କଥା ଶୁଣ।
Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:
13 ଆମ୍ଭେ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ଓ ଧର୍ମ ଆଣିବୁ, ତାହା ବେଶି ଦୂର ନୁହେଁ। ଆମ୍ଭ ପରିତ୍ରାଣର ବିଳମ୍ବ ଘଟିବ ନାହିଁ ; ଆମ୍ଭର ଗୌରବ ସ୍ବରୂପ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସିୟୋନ ପ୍ରତି ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ଆଣିବା।
I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
