Hebrews 11:5
ବିଶ୍ବାସ ହତେୁ ହନୋକଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ପୃଥିବୀରୁ ଉଠାଇ ନିଆ ହେଲା। ସେ କବେବେି ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଅନୁଭବ କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ଶାସ୍ତ୍ର କୁ ହେ ଯେ, ହନୋକଙ୍କୁ ଉଠାଇ ନଇେ ୟିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ କରିଥିଲେ। ପରେ ଲୋକେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଖାଜେି ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ହନୋକଙ୍କୁ ନିଜ ସହିତ ରହିବା ଲାଗି ନଇଗେଲେ।

ବିଶ୍ବାସ ବିନା ଜଣେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରସନ୍ନ କରି ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ। ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସୁଥିବା ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଲୋକ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍। ୟିଏ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସିବ ସେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରିବା ଦରକାର ଯେ ୟିଏ ପ୍ରକୃତ ରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଖୋଜେ, ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତାହାକୁ ପୁରସ୍କାର ପ୍ରଦାନ କରନ୍ତି।

ବିଶ୍ବାସ ଦ୍ବାରା ଆମ୍ଭେ ବୁଝିଛୁ ଯେ ସମଗ୍ର ସୃଷ୍ଟିର ରଚନା ପରମେଶ୍ବର ନିଜ ଆଜ୍ଞା ବଳ ରେ କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହାର ଅର୍ଥ ଯେ, ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଦିଶୁଥିବା ବିଷୟଗୁଡ଼ିକର ସୃଷ୍ଟି ଅଦୃଶ୍ଯ ବିଷୟ ଦ୍ବାରା ହାଇେଛି।

ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରି ଓ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରି ସୁସମାଚାର କହିବା ଦାଯିତ୍ବ ଦଇେଥିବାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସୁସମାଚାର ପ୍ରଚାର କରୁଛୁ। ଅତଏବ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ କିଛି କହୁ ମନୁଷ୍ଯକୁ ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ କଲାପରି ନୁହେଁ, ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଖୁସି କରିବା ଆମ୍ଭର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ଅଟେ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭର ହୃଦୟଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି।

ପୁଣି ରାଜା ବାରୂକ ଲେଖକକୁ ଓ ଯିରିମିୟ ଭବିଷ୍ଯତବକ୍ତାକୁ ଗିରଫ କରିବାକୁ ରାଜପୁତ୍ର ୟିରହମଲକେୁ, ଅସ୍ରୀଯଲରେ ପୁତ୍ର ସରାଯକୁ ଓ ଅବଦିଯଲରେ ପୁତ୍ର ଶଲେିମିଯକୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା କଲେ। ମାତ୍ର ସମାନେେ ବାରୂକ ଓ ଯିରିମିୟକୁ ପାଇଲେ ନାହିଁ କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଲୁଚାଇ ରଖିଥିଲେ।
