Hebrews 11:14
ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ସହେିଭଳି କଥା ମାନି ନିଅନ୍ତି, ସମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ନିଜର ଗୋଟିଏ ଦେଶ ପାଇଁ ଅପେକ୍ଷାରତ ଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶିତ କରନ୍ତି।

କବଳେ ଜଗତ ନୁହେଁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ଯ ସହେିପରି ବଦନୋପୂର୍ବକ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ରେ ଅଛୁ। ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାର ପ୍ରଥମ ଫଳ ସ୍ବରୂପ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆତ୍ମାକୁ ପାଇଲୁ। ସେଥି-ପାଇଁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରିଛୁ ଯେ , ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ତାହାଙ୍କର ନିଜ ସନ୍ତାନ ଭାବେ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିବା କାମ ସମାପ୍ତ କରନ୍ତୁ। ଅର୍ଥାତ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଶରୀରଗୁଡିକ ମୁକ୍ତି ପାଇଁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରିଛୁ।
Philippians 1:23
ଜୀବନ ଓ ମୁତ୍ଯୁ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ଗୋଟିକୁ ବାଛିବା କଷ୍ଟକର। ମୁଁ ଏହି ଜୀବନକୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ସହିତ ରହିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ। ଏହା ଅଧିମ ଭଲ।
Hebrews 11:16
କିନ୍ତୁ ବାସ୍ତବିକ ସମାନେେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଅପେକ୍ଷାକୃତ ଭଲ ଦେଶ ପାଇଁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରୁେଥିଳେ, ଯାହାକି ଗୋଟିଏ ସ୍ବର୍ଗୀୟ ଦେଶ। ତେଣୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସଙ୍କତେ କଲେ ନାହିଁ, ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଭାବରେ ପରିଚିତ ହବୋ ପାଇଁ। ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଲାଗି ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଗୋଟିଏ ନଗର ତିଆରି କରି ରଖିଅଛନ୍ତି।
Hebrews 13:14
ଏହି ପୃଥିବୀ ରେ ଆମ୍ଭର କୌଣସି ଚିରସ୍ଥାଯୀ ନଗର ନାହିଁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଗୋଟିଏ ନଗର ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରତୀକ୍ଷା କରୁଛ, ଯାହା ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ ରେ ଆସିବ।
