ସେଥିବାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ ପୁରୁଷ ସବେକଗଣ ନିଶ୍ଚଯ ସୁନ୍ନତ ହବେେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଶରୀର ରେ, ଚୁକ୍ତି ହିସାବ ରେ ମାରେ ଚିରନ୍ତନ ଚିହ୍ନ ରହିବ।

ଧନୀଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖ! ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଠିକ୍ ତାଙ୍କରି ପରି ଅଟୁ। ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ରମାନେ ଠିକ୍ ତାଙ୍କରି ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କପରି ଅଟନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ର ଓ କନ୍ଯାଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଦାସ ହବୋପାଇଁ ବିକ୍ରି କରିବୁ। ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ଅନକେ ତାଙ୍କର କନ୍ଯାଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଦାସୀ ଭାବରେ ବିକ୍ରଯ କରିସାରିଲଣେି। ଏପରି ଆଉ କିଛି ନାହିଁ ଯାହା ଆମ୍ଭେ ନ କରି ପାରିବା। ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭ କ୍ଷେତ୍ର, ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ହରାଇ ସାରିଲୁଣି, ଯାହାକି ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଅନ୍ୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଅଧିକାର ରେ ଅଛି।

ମିଦିଯନୀଯ ବଣିକମାନେ ଯୋଷଫେକୁ ମିଶର ରେ ବିକ୍ରି କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପୋଟିଫର ନାମକ ଫାରୋର ଅଧିକାରୀ ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ରକ୍ଷକ ସନୋପତିଙ୍କଠା ରେ ଯୋଷଫେକୁ ବିକ୍ରଯ କଲେ।

ଆସ ଏହିସବୁ ବଣିକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ବିକ୍ରୀ କରିଦବୋ। ଯାହା ହେଉ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଭାଇ, ଆମ୍ଭର ନିଜର ରକ୍ତ ମାଂସ। ତା'ର ଭାଇମାନେ ଏହି ରେ ରାଜି ହାଇଗେଲେ।

ପୁଣି ଅବ୍ରାମ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ସନ୍ତାନ ଦଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମାେ ଗୃହର ଜଣେ ସଦସ୍ଯ ମାରେ ଉତ୍ତରାଧିକାରୀ ହବେ।

ଯେତବେେଳେ ଅବ୍ରାମ ନିଜର ଜ୍ଞାତି ଧରା ହାଇେ ୟିବାର ସମାଚ଼ାର ଶୁଣିଲେ। ଅବ୍ରାମ ତା'ର ସମସ୍ତ ପରିବାରକୁ ଏକତ୍ରିତ କଲେ। ସଠାେରେ 318 ଜଣ ତାଲିମପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ସୈନିକ ଥିଲେ। ଅବ୍ରାମ ସେ ଶତୃମାନଙ୍କ ପେଛ ପେଛ ଗୋଡ଼ଇେ ଗୋଡ଼ଇେ ଦାନ ନଗର ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଗଲେ।
