ଏହାପରେ ଅବ୍ରହାମ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ଇଛାକରୁଛି ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇଶ୍ମାଯଲକେୁ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ କରିବ।

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଦୂତ ମଧ୍ଯ ଏପରି କହିଲେ, ହାଗାର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଗର୍ଭବତୀ। ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ଏକ ପୁତ୍ର ସନ୍ତାନ ଜନ୍ମିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତା'ର ନାମ ଇଶ୍ମାଯଲେ ଦବେ। କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଶୁଣିଛନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଦୁଃଖ ପାଉଥିଲ।
