Deuteronomy 24:1
ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ଏକ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବିବାହ କରି ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲାପରେ ଯବେେ ସେ ତାହାଠା ରେ କୌଣସି ଲଜ୍ଜାକର ବିଷଯ ପାଇବାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ତାହାଠା ରେ ଅନକ୍ସ୍ଟଗ୍ରହ ନପାଏ। ତବେେ ସହେି ପୁରୁଷ ତାହା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏକ ଛାଡପତ୍ର ଲେଖି ତାହା ହସ୍ତ ରେ ଦଇେ ଆପଣା ଗୃହରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତାହାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବାହାର କରିଦବୋ ଉଚିତ୍।

ପକ୍ସ୍ଟଣି ସମାନେେ ତାହାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଶ ହେ ଶକେଲ ରୂପା ଦଣ୍ତ କରି କନ୍ଯାର ପିତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦବେ। କାରଣ ସେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟ ଏକ କନ୍ଯା ଉପରେ ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟର୍ନାମ ଦଇେଛି। ତହିଁରେ ସେ ତା'ର ଭାର୍ୟ୍ଯା ହବେ। ସେ ତାହାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟାବଜ୍ଜୀବନ ପାଇଁ ତ୍ଯାଗ କରିପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।

ଧରାଯାଉ ତା' ନୂତନ ସ୍ବାମୀ ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଭଲପାଇଲା ନାହିଁ ଓ ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମଧ୍ଯ ଛାଡପତ୍ର ଦଲୋ କିଅବା ନୂତନ ସ୍ବାମୀର ମୃତକ୍ସ୍ଟ୍ଯ ହକ୍ସ୍ଟଏ, ତବେେ ମଧ୍ଯ ତା'ର ପ୍ରଥମ ସ୍ବାମୀ ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଉ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟନଃ ବିବାହ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍ ନକ୍ସ୍ଟହଁ। ସେ କଳକ୍ସ୍ଟଷିତ ହାଇେ ସାରିବା ପରେ, କାରଣ ଏହି କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଗ ରେ ଘୃଣ୍ଯ ଅଟେ।

ତବେେ ତାହା ସହିତ ଶଯନକାରୀ ସହେି ପୁରୁଷ କନ୍ଯାର ପିତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଗ୍ଭଶ ଶକେଲ ରୂପା ଦବେ ଓ ସେ ତାହାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ କରିବାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସେ ତାହାର ଭାର୍ୟ୍ଯା ହବେ। ସହେି ପୁରୁଷ ତାହାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟାବଜ୍ଜୀବନ ତ୍ଯାଗ କରିପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।
Exodus 21:10
ଯଦି ମୁନିବ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ବିବାହ କରେ, ତବେେ ସେ ପ୍ରଥମ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ କବେେ ଅସୁବିଧ ରେ ପକାଇବ ନାହିଁ। ତା'ର ବିବାହୋଚିତ କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ଯ ଯଥା: ଖାଦ୍ୟ, ବସ୍ତ୍ ରେ ଓ ଶାରିରୀକ ସମ୍ପର୍କରୁ ବଞ୍ଚିତ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
