ୟିହୋଯାଖୀନ୍ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ହବୋ ସମଯେ ରେ ଅଠର ବର୍ଷ ବଯସ ହାଇେଥିଲେ। ସେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ତିନିମାସ ଓ ଦଶ ଦିନ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ରାଜା ହାଇେଥିଲେ। ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛାନୁୟାଯୀ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।

Jeremiah 28:4
ପୁଣି ଯିହାୟୋଦାରକୀମର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ୟିହୋଯାଖୀନକୁ ଓ ଯିହୁଦାର ବାବିଲକୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ ହାଇେ ୟାଇଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ସହିତ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଫରୋଇ ଆଣିବା।' ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, 'କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ବାବିଲ ରାଜାର ୟୁଆଳି ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପକାଇବା।

ତା'ପ ରେ ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସର ଅସ୍ପନସ୍କୁ ଏକ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ। ଅସ୍ପନସ୍ ସବୋ ରେ ଜଣେ ନଫୁସକାଧିପତି ଥିଲେ। ରାଜା କେତକେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ରାଜପ୍ରାସାଦକୁ ଆଣିବା ପାଇଁ କହିଲେ। ନବୂଖଦନି୍ତ୍ସର କବଳେ ମହତ୍ବପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପରିବାରରୁ ୟିହୁଦି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ବଂଶରୁ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଚାହିଁଲେ।
