ତେଣୁ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ୟିହୋଯାଖୀନ୍, ତାଙ୍କର ମାତା, ତାଙ୍କର ଦାସମାନେ, ତାଙ୍କର ଅଧିପତିମାନେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ନଫୁସକମାନେ ବାବିଲ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଭଟେିବାକୁ ଗଲେ। ମାତ୍ର ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଖୀନ୍ଙ୍କୁ ଧରି ତାଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀରୂପେ ନେଲେ। ଏହା ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସରଙ୍କ ଅଷ୍ଟମ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜତ୍ବ କାଳ ରେ ଘଟିଥିଲା।

ଯିରିମିୟ ନିର୍ବାସିତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ଥିବା ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଯାଜକଗଣଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ ବକ୍ତାଗଣଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତ ବାବିଲ ନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଏକ ପତ୍ର ପ୍ ରରଣେ କଲେ ଏବଂ ଏହିସବୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ନବୂଖଦନିତ୍ସର ୟିରୁଶାଲମରୁ ବାବିଲୋନକୁ ନିର୍ବାସିତ ରୂପେ ନଇୟୋଇଥିଲେ।

ବସନ୍ତ ଋତୁ ରେ, ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସର ୟିହୋଯାଖୀନ୍ଙ୍କୁ ଆଣିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ କେତକେ ଭୃତ୍ଯଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଖୀନ୍ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରରୁ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ଧନ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତିରୁ କିଛି ବାବିଲକୁ ନଇଗେଲେ। ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସରର ସିଦିକିଯଙ୍କୁ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ନୂତନ ରାଜା ରୂପେ ମନୋନୀତ କଲେ। ସିଦିକିଯ ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଖୀନ୍ଙ୍କର ଜଣେ ଆତ୍ମୀଯ ଥିଲେ।

ଅନନ୍ତର ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ୟହୋଯାଖୀନଙ୍କ ବନ୍ଦୀତ୍ବର ସପ୍ତତ୍ରିଂଶ ବର୍ଷର ଦ୍ବାଦଶ ମାସ ରେ, ମାସର ସପ୍ତବିଂଶ ଦିନ ରେ ବାବିଲ ରାଜା ଇବିଲମରୋଦକ୍। ସେ ରାଜତ୍ବ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିବା ବର୍ଷ ରେ ବନ୍ଦୀରୁ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ୟିହୋଯାଖୀନ୍କୁ ବାହାର କଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ରାଜାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଅଧିକ ମହତ୍ବପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ବସିବାକୁ ଦେଲେ। ତାହା ବବେିଲୋନ ରେ ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଏପରି ଥିଲା।
Ezekiel 17:12
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସହେି ବିଦ୍ରୋହୀ ଜାତିକୁ କୁହ, ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ'ଣ ଏସବୁର ତାତ୍ପର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଜାଣ ନାହିଁ ? ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କୁହ, ଦେଖ, ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଆସି ତହିଁର ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଓ ତହିଁର ମୁଖ୍ଯଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣାର ନ୍ଯାଯାଳଯ ବାବିଲକୁ ନଇଗେଲା।

ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦନିତ୍ସରର ଅଧିକାରର ପ୍ରଥମ ବର୍ଷ ରେ ଓ ଯୋଶିୟଯର ପୁତ୍ର, ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ୟିହୋଯାକୀମର ଅଧିକାରର ଚତୁର୍ଥ ବର୍ଷ ରେ, ଯିହୁଦାର ସମଗ୍ର ଲୋକ ବିଷଯ ରେ ଯିରିମିୟଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଏହି ବାକ୍ଯ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା।

ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ୟିହୋଯାଖୀନ୍ ବାବିଲର କାରାଗାର ରେ ସଇଁତିରିଶ ବର୍ଷ ବନ୍ଦୀ ହାଇେ ରହିଲେ। ତାଙ୍କ ବନ୍ଦୀତ୍ବର ସପ୍ତତ୍ରିଂଶ ବର୍ଷ ରେ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ଇବିଲ୍-ମରୋଦକ୍ ୟିହୋଯାଖୀନ୍ଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଦୟାପରବଶ ହେଲେ। ସେ ରାଜତ୍ବର ପ୍ରଥମ ବର୍ଷର ଦ୍ବାଦଶ ମାସର ପଞ୍ଚବିଂଶ ଦିନ ରେ ୟିହୋଯାଖୀନ୍ଙ୍କୁ କାରାଗାରରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କଲେ।
Jeremiah 38:17
ତା'ପ ରେ ଯିରିମିୟ ରାଜା ସିଦିକିଯଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ସୈନ୍ଯାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପରମେଶ୍ବର କହନ୍ତି, 'ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବାବିଲ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କ ବଶତା ସ୍ବୀକାର କରିବ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ ଓ ଏହି ନଗର ଅଗ୍ନି ରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ ହବେ ନାହିଁ। ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପରିବାର ବଞ୍ଚିବେ।

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ଯିହାୟୋକୀମର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହାୟୋଦାରକୀନ୍ ଆମ୍ଭ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ହସ୍ତର ମାହେର ତୁଲ୍ଯ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସଠାରୁେ କାଢ଼ି ପକାଇବା।
