ପକହିଯ ମଧ୍ଯ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ ମନ୍ଦ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କଲେ। ସେ ପାପଗୁଡିକ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ, ଯାହା ୟାରବିଯାମ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପାପ କରାଇଥିଲେ।

ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ ଯାହାସବୁ ପାପ ଓ ଘୃଣ୍ଯ, ସେସବୁ କର୍ମ କରି ଚାଲିଲେ। ସେ କବେେ ହେଲେ ପାପ କରିବାକୁ କ୍ଷାନ୍ତ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ, ଯେଉଁସବୁ ପାପ ୟାରବିଯାମ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ କରାଇଥିଲେ।
