ଉଚ୍ଚସମ୍ମାନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ଏହି ମନ୍ଦିର ପାଶର୍ବ ଦଇେ ଯାଉଥିବା ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ଯାନ୍ବିତ ହବେେ। ସମାନେେ କହିବେ, 'ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କାହିଁକି ଏହି ଦେଶ ଓ ଏହି ମନ୍ଦିର ପ୍ରତି ଏ ପ୍ରକାର ଭୟଙ୍କର ବିପତ୍ତି ଘଟାଇଲେ ?'

ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜକୁ ପଚାରିବ, ଏହି ଦଶା ମାେ ପ୍ରତି କାହିଁକି ଘଟିଲା, ତବେେ ଉତ୍ତର ରେ କୁହାୟିବ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପାପ ଅଧିକ ହବୋ ଯୋଗୁଁ ଏହା ହେଲା। ତୁମ୍ଭ ବସ୍ତ୍ରର ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ଉଠାୟାଇଅଛି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପାଦକୁ କଷ୍ଟ ଦିଆୟାଇଅଛି।

ତେଣୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅତ୍ଯନ୍ତ କୋର୍ଧ କଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଦଣ୍ଡିତ କଲେ। ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯାହା ଘଟାଇଲେ, ତାହା ଯେତବେେଳେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦେଖିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ଅତ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଭୟଭୀତ ଓ ହତଚକିତ ହାଇପେଡ଼ିଲେ। ସହେି ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶମାନେ ଯିହୁଦାର ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଘୃଣା ଓ ଲଜ୍ଜା ରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ମୁଣ୍ଡ ନୁଆଁଇଲେ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାହା ସ୍ବଚକ୍ଷୁ ରେ ଦେଖୁଅଛ।
1 Kings 9:8
ଏହି ମନ୍ଦିର ଧ୍ବଂସ ହବେ। ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଲୋକ ଏହା ଦେଖି ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ଯ ହବେେ ଓ କହିବେ, 'ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କାହିଁକି ଏହି ଭୂମି ଓ ଏହି ମନ୍ଦିର ପ୍ରତି ଏପରି ଭୟଙ୍କର କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କଲେ?'
Deuteronomy 29:24
ସେତବେେଳେ ସବୁ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଯ ଲୋକମାନେ କହିବେ, 'ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏଦେଶ ପ୍ରତି କାହିଁକି ଏପରି କଲେ? ଏରୂପ ମହାକୋର୍ଧ ପ୍ରଜ୍ବଳିତ ହବୋର କାରଣ କ'ଣ?
