ସହେି ନେତାମାନେ ବନ୍ଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ନିଜକୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କଲେ। ସହେି ଚାରିଜଣ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ଲୁଟି ନଇେଥିବା ବସ୍ତୁସବୁ ପୁନରୁଦ୍ଧାର କଲେ ଓ ନଗ୍ନଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ନଇେ ଦେଲେ। ସହେି ନେତାମାନେ ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜୋତା ମଧ୍ଯ ଦେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଯିହୁଦାର ବନ୍ଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ କିଛି ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଓ ପାନୀଯ ଦେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଶରୀର ରେ ତଲେ ମାଲିସ୍ କଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ଇଫ୍ରଯିମର ସହେି ନେତାମାନେ ଦୁର୍ବଳ ବନ୍ଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗଧ ଉପରେ ବସାଇଲେ ଓ ଯିରୀହାେ ରେ ଥିବା ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଗୃହ ଓ ପରିବାରକୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ନଇଗେଲେ। ଯିରୀହାକେୁ 'ଖଜ୍ଜୁର୍ରୀବୃକ୍ଷର ନଗର' ବୋଲି କୁହାଯାଉ ଥିଲା। ଏହାପରେ ସହେି ଚାରିଜଣ ନେତା ଶମରିଯାକୁ ଫରେିଗଲେ।
