ଅମତ୍ସିଯ ଜଣେ ପରାକ୍ରମୀ ରାଜା ହେଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ଯେଉଁ ପଦାଧିକାରୀମାନେ ତାଙ୍କର ପିତା, ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିଥିଲେ, ସେ ସହେି ପଦାଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ।

ଅରାମୀଯମାନେ ୟୋଯାଶ୍ଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଯେତବେେଳେ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କଲେ, ସେ ଗୁରୁତର ଭାବରେ ଆହତ ହାଇେଥିଲେ। ୟୋଯାଶ୍ଙ୍କର ନିଜ ଭୃତ୍ଯମାନେ ତାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଷଡ଼ୟନ୍ତ୍ର କଲେ। ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ଯିହାୟୋଦାରଦା ଯାଜକଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଜିଖରିଯଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିଥିବାରୁ ସମାନେେ ଏହିପରି କଲେ। ସହେି ଭୃତ୍ଯମାନେ ୟୋଯାଶ୍ଙ୍କୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଶୟ୍ଯା ଉପରେ ହିଁ ବଧ କଲେ। ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଭୋଗ କରିବା ପରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ନଗର ରେ କବର ଦେଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ରାଜାମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ କବର ପାଆନ୍ତି, ସେ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ କବର ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ।
