ତା'ପରେ ଯହେୂ ଅହସିଯଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ବଷେଣ କଲେ। ସେ ଶମରିଯା ସହର ରେ ଲୁଚିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଯହେୂଙ୍କର ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ କାବୁ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଅହସିଯଙ୍କୁ ଯହେୂଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଅହସିଯଙ୍କୁ ଯହେୂଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଅହସିଯଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କୁ କବର ଦେଲେ। ସମାନେେ କହିଲେ, ଅହସିଯ ୟିହୋଶାଫଟ୍ଙ୍କ ବଂଶଧର ଥିଲେ। ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଆପଣାର ସମସ୍ତ ହୃଦଯ ସହିତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଅନୁସରଣ କରୁଥିଲେ। ଯିହୁଦା ରାଜ୍ଯକୁ ଏକତ୍ର ରଖିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅହସିଯଙ୍କ ବଂଶର ଆଉ କୌଣସି କ୍ଷମତା ରହିଲା ନାହିଁ।

ତା'ପରେ ଯହେୂ ଅହସିଯଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ବଷେଣ କଲେ। ସେ ଶମରିଯା ସହର ରେ ଲୁଚିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଯହେୂଙ୍କର ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ କାବୁ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଅହସିଯଙ୍କୁ ଯହେୂଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଅହସିଯଙ୍କୁ ଯହେୂଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଅହସିଯଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କୁ କବର ଦେଲେ। ସମାନେେ କହିଲେ, ଅହସିଯ ୟିହୋଶାଫଟ୍ଙ୍କ ବଂଶଧର ଥିଲେ। ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଆପଣାର ସମସ୍ତ ହୃଦଯ ସହିତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଅନୁସରଣ କରୁଥିଲେ। ଯିହୁଦା ରାଜ୍ଯକୁ ଏକତ୍ର ରଖିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅହସିଯଙ୍କ ବଂଶର ଆଉ କୌଣସି କ୍ଷମତା ରହିଲା ନାହିଁ।
