ସହେି ସମୟଠାରୁ ଆଜି ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଇଦୋମ ଯିହୁଦାର ବିରୋଧୀ ବିଦ୍ରୋହୀ ହାଇେ ରହିଅଛି। ଲିବ୍ନା ସହରର ଲୋକମାନେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଯିହାରୋମ୍ଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଉଠିଲେ। ଯିହାରୋମ୍ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ତ୍ଯାଗ କରିଥିବାରୁ ଏହିପରି ଘଟିଲା। ସେ ଯିହାରୋମ୍ଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଅଟନ୍ତି।

କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଅଟନ୍ତି। ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯିହୁଦାର ଲୋକମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ମାନିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମନା କରି ନାହୁଁ। ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ଯାଗ କରି ନାହୁଁ। ଯେଉଁ ଯାଜକମାନେ ସଦପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ସବୋ କରନ୍ତି, ସମାନେେ ହାରୋଣଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ରଗଣ ଅଟନ୍ତି। ଲବେୀୟମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର କାମ କରିବା ରେ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରନ୍ତି।

ଅସରିଯ ଆସାଙ୍କୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିବାକୁ ଗଲେ। ଅସରିଯ କହିଲେ, ଆସା ଓ ଯିହୁଦା ଏବଂ ବିନ୍ଯାମୀନର ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେ କଥା ଶୁଣ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥିଲ, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ରେ ଥିଲେ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯଦି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଖାଜେିବ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପାଇବ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ଯାଗ କରିବ, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ଯାଗ କରିବେ।
Jeremiah 2:13
କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନେ ଦୁଇଟି ପାପ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି। ପ୍ରଥମତଃ ସମାନେେ ମାେତେ ପରିତ୍ଯାଗ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଯଦିଓ ମୁଁ ଏକ ଜୀବନଦାଯିନୀ ନିର୍ଝର ଅଟେ ଓ ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ରେ ନିଜ ପାଇଁ ସମାନେେ ବହୁ ଜଳକୁଣ୍ଡ ଖାେଳିଛନ୍ତି। ମାତ୍ର ସହେି ଭଙ୍ଗା ଜଳକୁଣ୍ଡ ସବୁ ଜଳ ରଖିପାରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
