ଅବିଯଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ରେ ଥିବା ଯିହୁଦାର ସୈନ୍ଯଗଣ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗକୁ ଚାହିଁଲେ, ସମାନେେ ଦେଖିଲେ ଯେ, ୟାରବିଯାମ୍ଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଓ ପଶ୍ଚାତ୍ରୁ ଉଭୟ ପାଶର୍ବରୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରୁଛନ୍ତି। ଯିହୁଦାର ଲୋକମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପାଟି କରି ଡାକ ପକାଇଲେ ଓ ଯାଜକମାନେ ତୂରୀ ବଜାଇଲେ।

ଆସା ତାଙ୍କର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଡ଼ାକ ପକାଇଲେ ଓ କହିଲେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ଶକ୍ତିହୀନ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବା ଯେତିକି ସହଜ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବା ସତେିକି ସହଜ। ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କର। ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଅଟ। ଏହି ବିଶାଳ ସୈନ୍ଯବାହିନୀ ବିପକ୍ଷ ରେ ଥିଲେ ହେଁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରୁ ! ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ କାହାରିକୁ ଜଯ ଲାଭ କରିବାକୁ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ।

ଯେତବେେଳେ ରଥ-ଚାଳକମାନେ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ଭାବିଲେ, ସଠାେରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ରାଜା ଅଛନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ ସମାନେେ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ଙ୍କ ଆଡ଼େ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବାକୁ ଗଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଚିତ୍କାର କଲେ, ଆଉ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କଲେ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ରଥ-ଚାଳକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ଙ୍କ ଆଡ଼ୁ ଫରୋଇ ନେଲେ।
