ଅବିଯଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ରେ ଥିବା ଯିହୁଦାର ସୈନ୍ଯଗଣ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗକୁ ଚାହିଁଲେ, ସମାନେେ ଦେଖିଲେ ଯେ, ୟାରବିଯାମ୍ଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଓ ପଶ୍ଚାତ୍ରୁ ଉଭୟ ପାଶର୍ବରୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରୁଛନ୍ତି। ଯିହୁଦାର ଲୋକମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପାଟି କରି ଡାକ ପକାଇଲେ ଓ ଯାଜକମାନେ ତୂରୀ ବଜାଇଲେ।

ଆସା ତାଙ୍କର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଡ଼ାକ ପକାଇଲେ ଓ କହିଲେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ଶକ୍ତିହୀନ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବା ଯେତିକି ସହଜ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବା ସତେିକି ସହଜ। ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କର। ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଅଟ। ଏହି ବିଶାଳ ସୈନ୍ଯବାହିନୀ ବିପକ୍ଷ ରେ ଥିଲେ ହେଁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରୁ ! ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ କାହାରିକୁ ଜଯ ଲାଭ କରିବାକୁ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ।

ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନେ ଦେଖିଲେ,ଫାରୋ ଏବଂ ତାଙ୍କର ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଆଡକୁ ଆସୁଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ଅତ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଭୟଭିତ ହାଇଗେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଡାକିଲେ।

ଅଯର ଲୋକମାନେ ପଛକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବକ୍ସ୍ଟଲି ଦେଖିଲେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ନଗର ନିଆଁ ରେ ଜଳକ୍ସ୍ଟଅଛି। ସମାନେେ ଦେଖିଲେ ଧୂଁଆ ଧାର ଆକାଶକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଛକ୍ସ୍ଟଉଁଛି, ତେଣୁ ସମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଶକ୍ତି ଓ ସାହସ ହରାଇଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଆଉ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ସୈନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ପଛ ରେ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇଲେ ନାହିଁ। ମରକ୍ସ୍ଟଭୂମି ଆଡକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦୌଡ଼ନ୍ତିକ୍ସ୍ଟଥିବା ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଆଉ ଆଗଇେଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ ବକ୍ସ୍ଟଲି ପଡିଲେ ଓ ଅଯର ୈସନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇଲେ। ଅଯର ସୈନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଦୌଡି ପଳାଇବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଉ ନିରାପଦ ସ୍ଥାନ ନଥିଲା।

ତେଣୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ସ୍ଥାନରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଉଠି ଦୌଡିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଜାଗା ରେ ରକ୍ସ୍ଟଣ୍ତ ହେଲେ। ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନର ନାମ ଥିଲା ବାଲ୍ତାମର। ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର କେତକେ ଲୋକ ଗିବିଯାର ପଶ୍ଚିମ ରେ ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଚି ରହକ୍ସ୍ଟଥିଲେ। ପୂର୍ବ ଗିବିଯା ରେ, ସମାନେେ ଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଚିଥିବା ସ୍ଥାନରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବାହାରି ଆସିଲେ ଓ ଗିବିଯାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କଲେ।

ଯେତବେେଳେ ରଥ-ଚାଳକମାନେ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ଭାବିଲେ, ସଠାେରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ରାଜା ଅଛନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ ସମାନେେ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ଙ୍କ ଆଡ଼େ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବାକୁ ଗଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ ଚିତ୍କାର କଲେ, ଆଉ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କଲେ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ରଥ-ଚାଳକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯିହାଶାଫେଟ୍ଙ୍କ ଆଡ଼ୁ ଫରୋଇ ନେଲେ।
Psalm 50:15
ପରମେଶ୍ବର କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବିପଦରେ ପଡ଼ିଥିବା ବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଡ଼ାକ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବୁ ଓ ତା'ପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭର ମହିମା କରିବ।

ତୁମ୍ଭେ ରାତ୍ରିରେ ଭୟଭୀତ ହବୋର ଦରକାର ନାହିଁ। କିଅବା ଦିନରେ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କର ବାଣ ପ୍ରତି ଭୟଭୀତ ହବେ ନାହିଁ।
