ଅହସିଯଙ୍କ ଦାସମାନେ ତାଙ୍କ ମୃତ ଶରୀରକୁ ରଥରେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ନଇଗେଲେ ଓ ଦାଉଦ ନଗର ରେ ତାଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ସହିତ ତାଙ୍କ କବର ରେ ତାଙ୍କୁ କବର ଦେଲେ।

ଶିମିଯତର ପୁତ୍ର ୟୋଷାଖ୍ର ଓ ଶୋମରର ପୁତ୍ର ୟିହୋଷାବଦ୍ ନାମକ ୟୋଯାଶ୍ଙ୍କର ଦୁଇଟି ଦାସ ତାଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କଲେ। ତା'ପରେ ସମାନେେ ଦାଉଦ ନଗର ରେ ତାଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣଙ୍କ ସହିତ ତାଙ୍କୁ କବର ଦେଲେ। ତାଙ୍କ ପଦ ରେ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଅମତ୍ସିଯ ରାଜ୍ଯ କଲେ।

ଅନନ୍ତର ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଚକ୍ରାନ୍ତ କଲେ। ତେଣୁ ସେ ଲାଖୀଶକୁ ପଳାଇଲେ। ମାତ୍ର ସମାନେେ ଲାଖୀଶକୁ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇ ତାଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କଲେ।

ଯୋଶିୟଯ ଶମରିଯାର ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀର ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କୁ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ରେ ବଧ କଲେ ଓ ସେ ଉପରେ ମନୁଷ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ଅସ୍ଥି ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ଉପରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ କଲେ। ଏହି ରୂପେ ସେ ସମସ୍ତ ପୂଜା ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଅଶୁଚି କରି ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଫରେିଗଲେ।
