1 Chronicles 13:10
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଉଷଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅତ୍ଯନ୍ତ କୋରାଧାନ୍ବିତ ହେଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଉଷଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କଲେ, କାରଣ ସେ ସିନ୍ଦୁକକୁ ସ୍ପର୍ଶ କଲା। ତେଣୁ ଉଷ ସହେିଠା ରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଭୋଗ କଲା।

ଏହି ରୂପେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଛାଉଣୀ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହବୋ ବେଳେ ହାରୋଣ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ରଗଣ ପବିତ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ ଓ ପବିତ୍ର ସମସ୍ତ ଆସବାବ ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯ ଢାଙ୍କି ଦବେେ। ତାହାପରେ କହାତ ପୁତ୍ରଗଣ ତାହା ବହନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆସିବା ଉଚିତ୍। ସେଥିପାଇଁ ସମାନେେ ନିଶ୍ଚଯ କୌଣସି ପବିତ୍ର ବସ୍ତ୍ର ସ୍ପର୍ଶ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ ନ ହେଲେ ସମାନେ ମୁତ୍ଯୁବରଣ କରିବେ। ପବିତ୍ର ତମ୍ବୁ ରେ ଏହାହିଁ କହାତ ପୁତ୍ରଗଣର କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ଯ ହବେ।
Leviticus 10:1
ଏହାପରେ ହାରୋଣଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ନାଦବ ଓ ଅବୀହୂ ପାପ କଲେ। ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ନିଜ ନିଜ ଅଙ୍ଗାରଧାନୀ ନଇେ ତହିଁରେ ଅଗ୍ନି ଦଇେ ତହିଁ ଉପରେ ସୁଗନ୍ଧି ଧୂପ ରଖିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ, ତାଙ୍କର ଆଜ୍ଞା ଅନୁସାରେ ଭିନ୍ନ ଅଗ୍ନି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ।

କିନ୍ତୁ ଉଷିୟ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ହାଇେ ଉଠିଲେ, ତାଙ୍କର ଗର୍ବ ତାଙ୍କର ବିନାଶର କାରଣ ହେଲା। ସେ ତାଙ୍କର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ବିଶ୍ବସ୍ତ ହାଇେ ରହିଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସେ ସୁଗନ୍ଧିଧୂପର ବଦେୀ ଉପରେ ସୁଗନ୍ଧିଧୂପ ଜ୍ବଳାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଗଲେ।
