ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ମରୁଭୂମିସ୍ଥ ଦୁର୍ଗ ରେ ଗାଦ୍ ପରିବାର ବର୍ଗର କେତଜେଣ ଆସି ସଠାେରେ ବାସ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ବିଦ୍ଯା ରେ ତାଲିମପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ଅତି ସାହସୀ ସୈନ୍ଯଗଣ ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ବର୍ଚ୍ଛା ଓ ଢ଼ାଲ ଚାଳନା ରେ ଦକ୍ଷ ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସିଂହ ପରି ଅତି ଭୟଙ୍କର ଥିଲେ। ପର୍ବତ ରେ ହରିଣ ସଦୃଶ ଦ୍ରୁତ ଗତି ରେ ଦୌଡ଼ି ମଧ୍ଯ ପାରୁଥିଲେ।

ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ମରୁଭୂମିସ୍ଥ ଦୁର୍ଗ ରେ ଗାଦ୍ ପରିବାର ବର୍ଗର କେତଜେଣ ଆସି ସଠାେରେ ବାସ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ବିଦ୍ଯା ରେ ତାଲିମପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ଅତି ସାହସୀ ସୈନ୍ଯଗଣ ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ବର୍ଚ୍ଛା ଓ ଢ଼ାଲ ଚାଳନା ରେ ଦକ୍ଷ ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସିଂହ ପରି ଅତି ଭୟଙ୍କର ଥିଲେ। ପର୍ବତ ରେ ହରିଣ ସଦୃଶ ଦ୍ରୁତ ଗତି ରେ ଦୌଡ଼ି ମଧ୍ଯ ପାରୁଥିଲେ।
