Exodus 13:5
“परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरूलाई विशेष वचन दिनुभएको छ। उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई कनानी, हित्ती, एमोरी, हिव्वी अनि यबूसी मानिसहरूको भूमि दिने प्रतिज्ञा गर्नु भयो। परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूलाई त्यस भूमिमा लानु हुनेछ जहाँ दूध र मह बग्छन्। यसकारण तिमीहरूले यो रीति प्रत्येक वर्ष यही महीनामा पालन गर्नुपर्छ।
