एलीशाले भने, “पमरप्रभुको सन्देश सुन! परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छः ‘भोलि यस समयसम्ममा प्रशस्त खाद्य हुनेछ र यो सस्तो पनि हुनेछ। सामारिया शहरको ढोकाको छेऊ बजारमा एकजना मानिसले एक शेकेल चाँदी दिएर एक माना राम्रो पीठो अथवा दुइ माना जौंको पीठो किन्न सक्ने छ।”‘

தேவனுடைய சட்டங்களை நாம் மீறிவிட்டதால் நாம் கடன்பட்டிருந்தோம். எந்தெந்த சட்டங்களை நாம் மீறினோம் என்பதை அக்கடன் பட்டியலிட்டது. ஆனால் தேவன் அந்தக் கடனை நமக்கு மன்னித்துவிட்டார். தேவன் அக்கடனை அப்புறப்படுத்தி ஆணிகளால் சிலுவையில் அறைந்துவிட்டார்.
