तब यहूदाका राजा हिजकियाहले अश्शूरका राजालाई लाकीशमा एउटा सन्देश पठाए। हिजकियाहले भने, “मैले भूल गरेको छु। मलाई एक्लै छोडिदेऊ। तब तिमीले मागेको जे पनि तिर्न तयार हुनेछु।”तब अश्शूरका राजाले यहूदाका राजा हिजकियाहलाई 300 तोडा भन्दा बढी चाँदी तथा 30 तोडा भन्दा बढी सुन तिर्न् भने।
