त्यसपछि अब्रामले त्यस ठाउँ छाडी बेतेलको पूर्वको पहाडतिर यात्रा गरे अनि तिनले त्यहीं आफ्नो पाल बनाए। त्यस ठाउँबाट बेतेल पश्चिममा थियो र ऐ शहर पूर्वमा पर्थ्यो। तिनले त्यस ठाउँमा परमप्रभुको निम्ति वेदी बनाए अनि परमप्रभुको उपासना गरे।

on the east	מִקֶּ֛דֶם	miqqedem	mee-KEH-dem
Beth-el, of	לְבֵֽית	lĕbêt	leh-VATE
and pitched	אֵ֖ל	ʾēl	ale
his tent,	וַיֵּ֣ט	wayyēṭ	va-YATE
Beth-el having	אָֽהֳלֹ֑ה	ʾāhŏlō	ah-hoh-LOH
on the west,	בֵּֽית	bêt	bate
Hai and	אֵ֤ל	ʾēl	ale
on the east:	מִיָּם֙	miyyām	mee-YAHM
there and	וְהָעַ֣י	wĕhāʿay	veh-ha-AI
he builded	מִקֶּ֔דֶם	miqqedem	mee-KEH-dem
an altar	וַיִּֽבֶן	wayyiben	va-YEE-ven
Lord, the unto	שָׁ֤ם	šām	shahm
and called	מִזְבֵּ֙חַ֙	mizbēḥa	meez-BAY-HA
upon the name	לַֽיהוָ֔ה	layhwâ	lai-VA
of the Lord.	וַיִּקְרָ֖א	wayyiqrāʾ	va-yeek-RA
	בְּשֵׁ֥ם	bĕšēm	beh-SHAME
	יְהוָֽה׃	yĕhwâ	yeh-VA
