आजसम्म ती मानिसहरू त्यसरी बस्छन् जसरी तिनीहरू अतीतमा बसेका थिए। तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुको डर मान्छन् नत भक्ति नै गर्छन्। तिनीहरूले नियमको, निर्देशन, व्यवस्था अथवा आदेशहरू जुन परमप्रभुले याकूबको सन्तानहरूलाई दिएको थियो पालन गर्देनन्।

यसकारण अश्शूरका राजाले यस्तो आदेश दिएः “तिमीले सामरियाबाट केही पूजाहारी ल्याउ। ती पूजाहारीहरूमध्ये एक जनालाई पठाऊ जसलाई बन्दी बनाएर सामरिया लगेको थिए। त्यो पूजाहारी जाओस् अनि त्यही बसोस। तर त्यस पूजाहारीले मानिसहरूलाई त्यस देशको देवताको नियम पढाउन सक्नेछन्।”
