സേരഹിന്റെ മകനായ ആഖാൻ ശപഥാർപ്പിതവസ്തു സംബന്ധിച്ചു ഒരു കുറ്റം ചെയ്കയാൽ കോപം യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സർവ്വസഭയുടെയും മേൽ വീണില്ലയോ? അവൻ മാത്രമല്ലല്ലോ അവന്റെ അകൃത്യത്താൽ നശിച്ചതു.

അപ്പോൾ യോശുവയും എല്ലായിസ്രായേലുംകൂടെ സേരെഹിന്റെ പുത്രനായ ആഖാനെ വെള്ളി, മേലങ്കി, പൊൻകട്ടി, അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ, പുത്രിമാർ, അവന്റെ കാള, കഴുത, ആടു, കൂടാരം ഇങ്ങനെ അവന്നുള്ള സകലവുമായി ആഖോർതാഴ്വരയിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി:
