Numbers 21:8
യഹോവ മോശെയോടു: ഒരു അഗ്നിസർപ്പത്തെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി കൊടിമരത്തിന്മേൽ തൂക്കുക; കടിയേല്ക്കുന്നവൻ ആരെങ്കിലും അതിനെ നോക്കിയാൽ ജീവിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

| Moses, | מֹשֶׁ֗ה | mōše | moh-SHEH |
| Make | עֲשֵׂ֤ה | ʿăśē | uh-SAY |
| serpent, fiery a thee | לְךָ֙ | lĕkā | leh-HA |
| and set | שָׂרָ֔ף | śārāp | sa-RAHF |
| upon it | וְשִׂ֥ים | wĕśîm | veh-SEEM |
| a pole: | אֹת֖וֹ | ʾōtô | oh-TOH |
| pass, to come shall it and | עַל | ʿal | al |
| that every one | נֵ֑ס | nēs | nase |
| bitten, is that | וְהָיָה֙ | wĕhāyāh | veh-ha-YA |
| when he looketh upon | כָּל | kāl | kahl |
| it, shall live. | הַנָּשׁ֔וּךְ | hannāšûk | ha-na-SHOOK |
| וְרָאָ֥ה | wĕrāʾâ | veh-ra-AH | |
| אֹת֖וֹ | ʾōtô | oh-TOH | |
