നീ നിന്റെ മുഖത്തെ മറെക്കുന്നതും ഞങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടവും പീഡയും മറന്നുകളയുന്നതും എന്തു?

| hidest | פָנֶ֥יךָ | pānêkā | fa-NAY-ha |
| thou thy face, | תַסְתִּ֑יר | tastîr | tahs-TEER |
| forgettest and | תִּשְׁכַּ֖ח | tiškaḥ | teesh-KAHK |
| our affliction | עָנְיֵ֣נוּ | ʿonyēnû | one-YAY-noo |
| and our oppression? | וְֽלַחֲצֵֽנוּ׃ | wĕlaḥăṣēnû | VEH-la-huh-TSAY-noo |
