1 യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിൻ. യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിൻ; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു കീർത്തനം പാടുന്നതു നല്ലതു; അതു മനോഹരവും സ്തുതി ഉചിതവും തന്നേ.
2 യഹോവ യെരൂശലേമിനെ പണിയുന്നു; അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഭ്രഷ്ടന്മാരെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർക്കുന്നു.
3 മനംതകർന്നവരെ അവൻ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയും അവരുടെ മുറിവുകളെ കെട്ടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
4 അവൻ നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം നോക്കുന്നു; അവെക്കു ഒക്കെയും പേർ വിളിക്കുന്നു.
5 നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവു വലിയവനും ശക്തിയേറിയവനും ആകുന്നു. അവന്റെ വിവേകത്തിന്നു അന്തമില്ല.
6 യഹോവ താഴ്മയുള്ളവനെ ഉയർത്തുന്നു; അവൻ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ നിലത്തോളം താഴ്ത്തുന്നു.
7 സ്തോത്രത്തോടെ യഹോവെക്കു പാടുവിൻ; കിന്നരത്തോടെ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു കീർത്തനം ചെയ്‍വിൻ;
8 അവൻ ആകാശത്തെ മേഘംകൊണ്ടു മൂടുന്നു ഭൂമിക്കായി മഴ ഒരുക്കുന്നു; അവൻ പർവ്വതങ്ങളിൽ പുല്ലു മുളപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
9 അവൻ മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കും കരയുന്ന കാക്കകൂഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾക്കും അതതിന്റെ ആഹാരം കൊടുക്കുന്നു.
10 അശ്വബലത്തിൽ അവന്നു ഇഷ്ടം തോന്നുന്നില്ല; പുരുഷന്റെ ഊരുക്കളിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
11 തന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും തന്റെ ദയയിൽ പ്രത്യാശ വെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരിൽ യഹോവ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു.
12 യെരൂശലേമേ, യഹോവയെ പുകഴ്ത്തുക; സീയോനേ, നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിക്ക;
13 അവൻ നിന്റെ വാതിലുകളുടെ ഓടാമ്പലുകളെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചു നിന്റെ അകത്തു നിന്റെ മക്കളെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
14 അവൻ നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു സമാധാനം വരുത്തുന്നു; വിശേഷമായ കോതമ്പുകൊണ്ടു നിനക്കു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുന്നു.
15 അവൻ തന്റെ ആജ്ഞ ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു അയക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വചനം അതിവേഗം ഓടുന്നു.
16 അവൻ പഞ്ഞിപോലെ മഞ്ഞു പെയ്യിക്കുന്നു; ചാരംപോലെ നീഹാരം വിതറുന്നു.
17 അവൻ നീർക്കട്ട കഷണംകഷണമായി എറിയുന്നു; അവന്റെ കുളിർ സഹിച്ചു നില്ക്കുന്നവനാർ?
18 അവൻ തന്റെ വചനം അയച്ചു അവയെ ഉരുക്കുന്നു; കാറ്റു അടിപ്പിച്ചു വെള്ളത്തെ ഒഴുക്കുന്നു.
19 അവൻ യാക്കോബിന്നു തന്റെ വചനവും യിസ്രായേലിന്നു തന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.
20 അങ്ങനെ യാതൊരു ജാതിക്കും അവൻ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല; അവന്റെ വിധികളെ അവർ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടുമില്ല.
1 Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
2 The Lord doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.
3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
6 The Lord lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.
7 Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:
8 Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.
9 He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
10 He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.
11 The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
12 Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
13 For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.
14 He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.
15 He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
16 He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.
17 He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
18 He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
19 He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
20 He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord.

1 ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਾਮੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਵੇਖਣਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿਤੇ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ।
We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਕਥਨ ਹੈ; “ਮੈਂ ਸਹੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ।” ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ “ਸਹੀ ਸਮਾਂ” ਹੁਣ ਹੈ “ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਦਿਹਾੜਾ” ਹੁਣ ਹੈ।
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
3 ਅਸੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਨੁਕਸ ਲੱਭ ਸੱਕਣ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਜੋ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਰੁਕਾਵਟਾਂ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
4 ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਦਰਸ਼ਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ; ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਖਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ, ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ।
But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5 ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਕੁੱਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਕਦੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਨੀਂਦ ਅਤੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਝੇ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
6 ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਮਝ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਧੀਰਜ, ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਜੀਵਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਹ ਦਰਸ਼ਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਸੱਚੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦਰਸ਼ਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7 ਸੱਚ ਬੋਲਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਢੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
8 ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਸਾਡਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਾਡਾ ਨਿਰਾਦਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਸਾਡੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਭਲੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਦੂਸਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੰਦਿਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਝੂਠੇ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੱਚ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;
9 ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅਗਿਆਤ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਦੇਖੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਏ।
As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;
10 ਹਾਲਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹਾਂ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਗਰੀਬ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਮੀਰ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਹੈ।
As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
11 ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ, ਕੋਰਿੰਥੁਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.
12 ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਸਾਡਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਖਤਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਰੋਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.
13 ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹੋਵੋਂ। ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ-ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵੀ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿਓ।
Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.
14 ਗੈਰ ਮਸੀਹੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਜੁੜੋ। ਚੰਗਿਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਚਾਨਣ ਅਤੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦੀ।
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 ਕੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਲਿਆਲ (ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ) ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਕਰਾਰ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ? ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਹੈ।
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਰਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਕੋਈ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਜਾਗਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਮੰਦਰ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ; “ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਗ ਰਹਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਗ ਤੁਰਾਂਗਾ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ।”
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 “ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਛੂਹੋ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ।”
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ, ਇਹ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ।”
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
