ആവർത്തനം 21:3
കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടവന്നു അധികം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാർ, വേല ചെയ്യിക്കാത്തതും നുകം വെക്കാത്തതുമായ ഒരു പശുക്കിടാവിനെ കൊണ്ടുവരേണം.

| the slain man, | הֶֽחָלָ֑ל | heḥālāl | heh-ha-LAHL |
| elders the even | וְלָֽקְח֡וּ | wĕlāqĕḥû | veh-la-keh-HOO |
| of that | זִקְנֵי֩ | ziqnēy | zeek-NAY |
| city | הָעִ֨יר | hāʿîr | ha-EER |
| shall take | הַהִ֜וא | hahiw | ha-HEEV |
| an heifer, | עֶגְלַ֣ת | ʿeglat | eɡ-LAHT |
| בָּקָ֗ר | bāqār | ba-KAHR | |
| which | אֲשֶׁ֤ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| hath not | לֹֽא | lōʾ | loh |
| with, wrought been | עֻבַּד֙ | ʿubbad | oo-BAHD |
| and which | בָּ֔הּ | bāh | ba |
| hath not | אֲשֶׁ֥ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| drawn | לֹֽא | lōʾ | loh |
| in the yoke; | מָשְׁכָ֖ה | moškâ | mohsh-HA |
| בְּעֹֽל׃ | bĕʿōl | beh-OLE |
