ആവർത്തനം 2:21
അവർ വലിപ്പവും പെരുപ്പവും അനാക്യരെപ്പോലെ പൊക്കവുമുള്ള ജാതിയായിരുന്നു; എങ്കിലും യഹോവ അവരെ അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നശിപ്പിച്ചു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ അവരുടെ ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കി അവരുടെ സ്ഥലത്തു കുടിപാർത്തു.

| and many, | וְרַ֛ב | wĕrab | veh-RAHV |
| tall, and | וָרָ֖ם | wārām | va-RAHM |
| as the Anakims; | כָּֽעֲנָקִ֑ים | kāʿănāqîm | ka-uh-na-KEEM |
| but the Lord | וַיַּשְׁמִידֵ֤ם | wayyašmîdēm | va-yahsh-mee-DAME |
| destroyed | יְהוָה֙ | yĕhwāh | yeh-VA |
| them before | מִפְּנֵיהֶ֔ם | mippĕnêhem | mee-peh-nay-HEM |
| them; and they succeeded | וַיִּֽירָשֻׁ֖ם | wayyîrāšum | va-yee-ra-SHOOM |
| dwelt and them, | וַיֵּֽשְׁב֥וּ | wayyēšĕbû | va-yay-sheh-VOO |
| in their stead: | תַחְתָּֽם׃ | taḥtām | tahk-TAHM |
