ആമോസ് 7
1 യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു എനിക്കു കാണിച്ചു തന്നതെന്തെന്നാൽ: പുല്ലു രണ്ടാമതു മുളെച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവൻ വിട്ടിലുകളെ നിർമ്മിച്ചു: അതു രാജാവിന്റെ വക പുല്ലു അരിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം മുളെച്ച രണ്ടാമത്തെ പുല്ലു ആയിരുന്നു.
2 എന്നാൽ അവ ദേശത്തിലെ സസ്യം തിന്നുതീർന്നപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ: യഹോവയായ കർത്താവേ, ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ; യാക്കോബ് എങ്ങനെ നിവിർന്നുനില്ക്കും? അവൻ ചെറിയവനല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
3 യഹോവ അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു അനുതപിച്ചു; അതു സംഭവിക്കയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
4 യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു എനിക്കു കാണിച്ചുതന്നതെന്തെന്നാൽ: യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു തീയാൽ വ്യവഹരിപ്പാൻ അതിനെ വിളിച്ചു; അതു വലിയ ആഴിയെ വറ്റിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടു യഹോവയുടെ ഓഹരിയെയും തിന്നുകളവാൻ ഭാവിച്ചു.
5 അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ: യഹോവയായ കർത്താവേ, മതിയാക്കേണമേ; യാക്കോബ് എങ്ങനെ നിവിർന്നുനില്ക്കും? അവൻ ചെറിയവനല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
6 യഹോവ അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു അനുതപിച്ചു; അതു സംഭവിക്കയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
7 അവൻ എനിക്കു കാണിച്ചുതന്നതെന്തെന്നാൽ: കർത്താവു കയ്യിൽ തൂക്കുകട്ട പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു തൂക്കുകട്ട തൂക്കിയുണ്ടാക്കിയോരു മതിലിന്മേൽ നിന്നു.
8 യഹോവ എന്നോടു: ആമോസേ, നീ എന്തു കാണുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു ഒരു തൂക്കുകട്ട എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്നു കർത്താവു: ഞാൻ എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ നടുവിൽ ഒരു തൂക്കുകട്ട പിടിക്കും; ഞാൻ ഇനി അവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കാതെ വിടുകയില്ല;
9 യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ പൂജാഗിരികൾ പാഴും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരങ്ങൾ ശൂന്യവുമായ്തീരും; ഞാൻ യൊരോബെയാംഗൃഹത്തോടു വാളുമായി എതിർത്തുനില്ക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
10 എന്നാൽ ബേഥേലിലെ പുരോഹിതനായ അമസ്യാവു യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ആളയച്ചു: ആമോസ് യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ നിനക്കു വിരോധമായി കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വാക്കു ഒക്കെയും സഹിപ്പാൻ ദേശത്തിന്നു കഴിവില്ല.
11 യൊരോബെയാം വാൾകൊണ്ടു മരിക്കും; യിസ്രായേൽ സ്വദേശം വിട്ടു പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവരും എന്നിങ്ങനെ ആമോസ് പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.
12 എന്നാൽ ആമോസിനോടു അമസ്യാവു: എടോ ദർശകാ, യെഹൂദാദേശത്തിലേക്കു ഓടിപ്പൊയ്ക്കൊൾക; അവിടെ പ്രവചിച്ചു അഹോവൃത്തി കഴിച്ചുകൊൾക.
13 ബേഥേലിലോ ഇനി പ്രവചിക്കരുതു; അതു രാജാവിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരവും രാജധാനിയുമല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
14 അതിന്നു ആമോസ് അമസ്യാവോടു: ഞാൻ പ്രവാചകനല്ല, പ്രവാചകശിഷ്യനുമല്ല, ഇടയനും കാട്ടത്തിപ്പഴം പെറുക്കുന്നവനും അത്രേ.
15 ഞാൻ ആടുകളെ നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യഹോവ എന്നെ പിടിച്ചു: നീ ചെന്നു എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനോടു പ്രവചിക്ക എന്നു യഹോവ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
16 ആകയാൽ നീ യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾക്ക: യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രവചിക്കരുതു; യിസ്ഹാക്ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു നിന്റെ വചനം പൊഴിക്കരുതു എന്നു നീ പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
17 അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിന്റെ ഭാര്യ നഗരത്തിൽ വേശ്യയാകും; നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും വാൾകൊണ്ടു വീഴും; നിന്റെ ദേശം അളവു നൂൽകൊണ്ടു വിഭാഗിക്കപ്പെടും; നീയോ ഒരു അശുദ്ധദേശത്തുവെച്ചു മരിക്കും; യിസ്രായേൽ സ്വദേശം വിട്ടു പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവരും.
1 Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me; and, behold, he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, it was the latter growth after the king’s mowings.
2 And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord God, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
3 The Lord repented for this: It shall not be, saith the Lord.
4 Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord God called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.
5 Then said I, O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
6 The Lord repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord God.
7 Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand.
8 And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:
9 And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.
10 Then Amaziah the priest of Beth-el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.
11 For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land.
12 Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:
13 But prophesy not again any more at Beth-el: for it is the king’s chapel, and it is the king’s court.
14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:
15 And the Lord took me as I followed the flock, and the Lord said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.
16 Now therefore hear thou the word of the Lord: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac.
17 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.

1 ஆகையால், மற்றவர்களைக் குற்றவாளியாகத் தீர்க்கிறவனே, நீ யாரானாலும் சரி, போக்குச்சொல்ல உனக்கு இடமில்லை; நீ குற்றமாகத் தீர்க்கிறவைகள் எவைகளோ, அவைகளை நீயே செய்கிறபடியால், நீ மற்றவர்களைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லுகிற தீர்ப்பினாலே உன்னைத்தானே குற்றவாளியாகத் தீர்க்கிறாய்.
Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
2 இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைச் செய்கிறவர்களுக்குத் தேவனுடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு சத்தியத்தின்படியே இருக்கிறதென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.
But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
3 இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைச் செய்கிறவர்களைக் குற்றவாளிகளென்று தீர்த்தும், அவைகளையே செய்கிறவனே, நீ தேவனுடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக்குத் தப்பிக்கொள்ளலாமென்று நினைக்கிறாயா?
And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
4 அல்லது தேவதயவு நீ குணப்படும்படி உன்னை ஏவுகிறதென்று அறியாமல், அவருடைய தயவு பொறுமை நீடியசாந்தம் இவைகளின் ஐசுவரியத்தை அசட்டைபண்ணுகிறாயோ?
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
5 உன் மனக்கடினத்திற்கும் குணப்படாத இருதயத்திற்கும் ஏற்றபடி, தேவனுடைய நீதியுள்ள தீர்ப்பு வெளிப்படும் கோபாக்கினைநாளிலே உனக்காகக் கோபாக்கினையைக் குவித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறாயே.
But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6 தேவன் அவனவனுடைய கிரியைகளுக்குத்தக்கதாய் அவனவனுக்குப் பலனளிப்பார்.
Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
7 சோர்ந்துபோகாமல் நற்கிரியைகளைச் செய்து, மகிமையையும் கனத்தையும் அழியாமையையும் தேடுகிறவர்களுக்கு நித்தியஜீவனை அளிப்பார்.
To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
8 சண்டைக்காரராயிருந்து, சத்தியத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல், அநியாயத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருக்கிறவர்களுக்கோ உக்கிரகோபாக்கினை வரும்.
But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
9 முன்பு யூதரிலும் பின்பு கிரேக்கரிலும் பொல்லாங்குசெய்கிற எந்த மனுஷ ஆத்துமாவுக்கும் உபத்திரவமும் வியாகுலமும் உண்டாகும்.
Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
10 முன்பு யூதரிலும் பின்பு கிரேக்கரிலும் எவன் நன்மைசெய்கிறானோ அவனுக்கு மகிமையும் கனமும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாகும்.
But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
11 தேவனிடத்தில் பட்சபாதமில்லை.
For there is no respect of persons with God.
12 எவர்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணமில்லாமல் பாவஞ்செய்கிறார்களோ, அவர்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணமில்லாமல் கெட்டுப்போவார்கள்; எவர்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்துக்குட்பட்டவர்களாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்கிறார்களோ, அவர்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினாலே ஆக்கினைத்தீர்ப்படைவார்கள்.
For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13 நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைக் கேட்கிறவர்கள் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக நீதிமான்களல்ல, நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படி செய்கிறவர்களே நீதிமான்களாக்கப்படுவார்கள்.
(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
14 அன்றியும் நியாயப்பிரமாணமில்லாத புறஜாதிகள் சுபாவமாய் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படி செய்கிறபோது, நியாயப்பிரமாணமில்லாத அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குத் தாங்களே நியாயப்பிரமாணமாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.
For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 அவர்களுடைய மனச்சாட்சியும் கூடச் சாட்சியிடுகிறதினாலும், குற்றமுண்டு குற்றமில்லையென்று அவர்களுடைய சிந்தனைகள் ஒன்றையொன்று தீர்க்கிறதினாலும், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்க்கேற்ற கிரியை தங்கள் இருதயங்களில் எழுதியிருக்கிறதென்று காண்பிக்கிறார்கள்.
Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
16 என் சுவிசேஷத்தின்படியே, தேவன் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவைக்கொண்டு மனுஷருடைய அந்தரங்கங்களைக்குறித்து நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக்கொடுக்கும் நாளிலே இது விளங்கும்.
In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
