ശമൂവേൽ-1 28:22
ആകയാൽ അടിയന്റെ വാക്കു നീയും കേൾക്കേണമേ. ഞാൻ ഒരു കഷണം അപ്പം നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വെക്കട്ടെ; നീ തിന്നേണം; എന്നാൽ നിന്റെ വഴിക്കു പോകുവാൻ നിനക്കു ബലം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

| voice the unto | בְּק֣וֹל | bĕqôl | beh-KOLE |
| of thine handmaid, | שִׁפְחָתֶ֔ךָ | šipḥātekā | sheef-ha-TEH-ha |
| and let me set | וְאָשִׂ֧מָה | wĕʾāśimâ | veh-ah-SEE-ma |
| morsel a | לְפָנֶ֛יךָ | lĕpānêkā | leh-fa-NAY-ha |
| of bread | פַּת | pat | paht |
| before | לֶ֖חֶם | leḥem | LEH-hem |
| thee; and eat, | וֶֽאֱכ֑וֹל | weʾĕkôl | veh-ay-HOLE |
| have mayest thou that | וִיהִ֤י | wîhî | vee-HEE |
| strength, | בְךָ֙ | bĕkā | veh-HA |
| when | כֹּ֔חַ | kōaḥ | KOH-ak |
| thou goest | כִּ֥י | kî | kee |
| on thy way. | תֵלֵ֖ךְ | tēlēk | tay-LAKE |
| בַּדָּֽרֶךְ׃ | baddārek | ba-DA-rek |
