ഗിബയോൻ നിവാസികളായ ഹിവ്യർ ഒഴികെ ഒരു പട്ടണക്കാരും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു സഖ്യതചെയ്തില്ല; ശേഷമൊക്കെയും അവർ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ പിടിച്ചടക്കി.
