Job 33

1 എങ്കിലോ ഇയ്യോബേ, എന്റെ ഭാഷണം കേട്ടുകൊൾക; എന്റെ സകലവാക്കുകളും ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊൾക.

2 ഇതാ, ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ എന്റെ വായ്തുറക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ വായിൽ എന്റെ നാവു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

3 എന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ഉള്ളിലെ നേർ ഉച്ചരിക്കും. എന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നതു അവ പരമാർത്ഥമായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കും.

4 ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവു എന്നെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു; സർവ്വശക്തന്റെ ശ്വാസം എനിക്കു ജീവനെ തരുന്നു.

5 നിനക്കു കഴിയുമെങ്കിൽ എന്നോടു പ്രതിവാദിക്ക; സന്നദ്ധനായി എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നുകൊൾക.

6 ഇതാ, നിന്നെപ്പോലെ ഞാനും ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ളവൻ; എന്നെയും മണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു നിർമ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

7 എന്റെ ഭീഷണി നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുകയില്ല; എന്റെ ഘനം നിനക്കു ഭാരമായിരിക്കയുമില്ല.

8 ഞാൻ കേൾക്കെ നീ പറഞ്ഞതും നിന്റെ വാക്കു ഞാൻ കേട്ടതും എന്തെന്നാൽ:

9 ഞാൻ ലംഘനം ഇല്ലാത്ത നിർമ്മലൻ; ഞാൻ നിർദ്ദോഷി; എന്നിൽ അകൃത്യവുമില്ല.

10 അവൻ എന്റെ നേരെ വിരുദ്ധങ്ങളെ കണ്ടു പിടിക്കുന്നു; എന്നെ തനിക്കു ശത്രുവായി വിചാരിക്കുന്നു.

11 അവൻ എന്റെ കാലുകളെ ആമത്തിൽ ഇടുന്നു; എന്റെ പാതകളെ ഒക്കെയും സൂക്ഷിച്ചുനോക്കുന്നു.

12 ഇതിന്നു ഞൻ നിന്നോടു ഉത്തരം പറയാം: ഇതിൽ നീ നീതിമാൻ അല്ല; ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനെക്കാൾ വലിയവനല്ലോ.

13 നീ അവനോടു എന്തിന്നു വാദിക്കുന്നു? തന്റെ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നിന്നും അവൻ കാരണം പറയുന്നില്ലല്ലോ.

14 ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ വട്ടം ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; മനുഷ്യൻ അതു കൂട്ടാക്കുന്നില്ലതാനും.

15 ഗാഢനിദ്ര മനുഷ്യർക്കുണ്ടാകുമ്പോൾ, അവർ ശയ്യമേൽ നിദ്രകൊള്ളുമ്പോൾ, സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ, രാത്രിദർശനത്തിൽ തന്നേ,

16 അവൻ മനുഷ്യരുടെ ചെവി തുറക്കുന്നു; അവരോടുള്ള പ്രബോധനെക്കു മുദ്രയിടുന്നു.

17 മനുഷ്യനെ അവന്റെ ദുഷ്കർമ്മത്തിൽനിന്നു അകറ്റുവാനും പുരുഷനെ ഗർവ്വത്തിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷിപ്പാനും തന്നേ.

18 അവൻ കുഴിയിൽനിന്നു അവന്റെ പ്രാണനെയും വാളാൽ നശിക്കാതവണ്ണം അവന്റെ ജീവനെയും കാക്കുന്നു.

19 തന്റെ കിടക്കമേൽ അവൻ വേദനയാൽ ശിക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികളിൽ ഇടവിടാതെ പോരാട്ടം ഉണ്ടു.

20 അതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ ജീവൻ അപ്പവും അവന്റെ പ്രാണൻ സ്വാദുഭോജനവും വെറുക്കുന്നു.

21 അവന്റെ മാംസം ക്ഷയിച്ചു കാണ്മാനില്ലാതെയായിരിക്കുന്നു; കാണ്മാനില്ലാതിരുന്ന അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികൾ പൊങ്ങിനില്ക്കുന്നു.

22 അവന്റെ പ്രാണൻ ശവക്കുഴിക്കും അവന്റെ ജീവൻ നാശകന്മാർക്കും അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

23 മനുഷ്യനോടു അവന്റെ ധർമ്മം അറിയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആയിരത്തിൽ ഒരുത്തനായി മദ്ധ്യസ്ഥനായോരു ദൂതൻ അവന്നു വേണ്ടി ഉണ്ടെന്നുവരികിൽ

24 അവൻ അവങ്കൽ കൃപ വിചാരിച്ചു: കുഴിയിൽ ഇറങ്ങാതവണ്ണം ഇവനെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; ഞാൻ ഒരു മറുവില കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയും

25 അപ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ദേഹം യൌവനചൈതന്യത്താൽ പുഷ്ടിവെക്കും; അവൻ ബാല്യപ്രായത്തിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞുവരും.

26 അവൻ ദൈവത്തോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കും; അവൻ അവങ്കൽ പ്രസാദിക്കും; തിരുമുഖത്തെ അവൻ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കാണും; അവൻ മനുഷ്യന്നു അവന്റെ നീതിയെ പകരം കൊടുക്കും.

27 അവൻ മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ പാടി പറയുന്നതു: ഞാൻ പാപം ചെയ്തു നേരായുള്ളതു മറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അതിന്നു എന്നോടു പകരം ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.

28 അവൻ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ കുഴിയിൽ ഇറങ്ങാതവണ്ണം രക്ഷിച്ചു; എന്റെ ജീവൻ പ്രകാശത്തെ കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു.

29 ഇതാ, ദൈവം രണ്ടു മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം ഇവയൊക്കെയും മനുഷ്യനോടു ചെയ്യുന്നു.

30 അവന്റെ പ്രാണനെ കുഴിയിൽനിന്നു കരേറ്റേണ്ടതിന്നും ജീവന്റെ പ്രകാശംകൊണ്ടു അവനെ പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും തന്നേ.

31 ഇയ്യോബേ, ശ്രദ്ധവെച്ചു കേൾക്ക; മിണ്ടാതെയിരിക്ക; ഞാൻ സംസാരിക്കാം.

32 നിനക്കു ഉത്തരം പറവാനുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ പറക; സംസാരിക്ക; നിന്നെ നീതീകരിപ്പാൻ ആകുന്നു എന്റെ താല്പര്യം.

33 ഇല്ലെന്നുവരികിൽ, നീ എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്ക; മിണ്ടാതിരിക്ക; ഞാൻ നിനക്കു ജ്ഞാനം ഉപദേശിച്ചുതരാം.

1 Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.

2 Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath spoken in my mouth.

3 My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.

4 The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

5 If thou canst answer me, set thy words in order before me, stand up.

6 Behold, I am according to thy wish in God’s stead: I also am formed out of the clay.

7 Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.

8 Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words, saying,

9 I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me.

10 Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me for his enemy,

11 He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.

12 Behold, in this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.

13 Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.

14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.

15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;

16 Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,

17 That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

18 He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

19 He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong pain:

20 So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.

21 His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen stick out.

22 Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.

23 If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:

24 Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.

25 His flesh shall be fresher than a child’s: he shall return to the days of his youth:

26 He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.

27 He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;

28 He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.

29 Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,

30 To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.

31 Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I will speak.

32 If thou hast any thing to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify thee.

33 If not, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom.
