Isaiah 44:19
ഒരുത്തനും ഹൃദയത്തിൽ വിചാരിക്കുന്നില്ല: ഒരംശം ഞാൻ കത്തിച്ചു കനലിൽ അപ്പം ചുട്ടു ഇറച്ചിയും ചുട്ടുതിന്നു; ശേഷിപ്പുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ ഒരു മ്ളേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കുമോ? ഒരു മരമുട്ടിയുടെ മുമ്പിൽ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീഴുമോ! എന്നിങ്ങനെ പറവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഒരുത്തന്നും അറിവും ഇല്ല, ബോധവുമില്ല.

| part | שָׂרַ֣פְתִּי | śāraptî | sa-RAHF-tee |
| of it in | בְמוֹ | bĕmô | veh-MOH |
| fire; the | אֵ֗שׁ | ʾēš | aysh |
| yea, | וְ֠אַף | wĕʾap | VEH-af |
| also I have baked | אָפִ֤יתִי | ʾāpîtî | ah-FEE-tee |
| bread | עַל | ʿal | al |
| upon | גֶּחָלָיו֙ | geḥālāyw | ɡeh-ha-lav |
| the coals | לֶ֔חֶם | leḥem | LEH-hem |
| thereof; I have roasted | אֶצְלֶ֥ה | ʾeṣle | ets-LEH |
| flesh, | בָשָׂ֖ר | bāśār | va-SAHR |
| eaten and | וְאֹכֵ֑ל | wĕʾōkēl | veh-oh-HALE |
| it: and shall I make | וְיִתְרוֹ֙ | wĕyitrô | veh-yeet-ROH |
| residue the | לְתוֹעֵבָ֣ה | lĕtôʿēbâ | leh-toh-ay-VA |
